  • Publication number: 20070072337
Abstract: The present invention provides an organic EL display panel manufacturing method which is capable of forming a desired organic film or the like with high accuracy without imparting damages to a substrate and an organic film and an organic EL display panel which is manufactured by the method. An opening portion which corresponds to a panel pattern region of a display panel is formed in a vapor deposition mask. The opening portion has a bottom surface in the inside of a recessed surface which is retracted from a surface on which the vapor deposition mask is brought into contact with the substrate. The opening portion of the vapor deposition mask is spaced apart from the substrate with a predetermined gap space and evaporated particles from an evaporating source are vapor-deposited to the substrate through the opening portion.

  • Publication number: 20060012288
Abstract: On a main face of a substrate, organic EL light emitting layers are formed by stacking first electrodes for respective pixels, an organic EL layer having a white light emitting function formed above the first electrodes to cover the first electrodes in common, and a second electrode formed such that the second electrode covers the organic EL layer in common in this order, and light emitted from the organic EL layer is irradiated to the second electrode side. Above the second electrode, a color converting filter, which converts the white light emitted from the organic EL light emitting layer to a given color and is applied by coating using a wet process, is formed for every pixel, and a protective layer, which prevents the deterioration of the light emitting layer attributed to a coating material of the color filter, is provided between the second electrode and the color converting filter.

  • Publication number: 20050215163
Abstract: When any of pixels is not lit in an organic EL display having an organic EL layer between a first electrode and a second electrode, an organic layer of the pixel is observed. If the organic layer of the pixel contains foreign matter, the second electrode is separated into a region in contact with the foreign matter and a region not in contact with both the contact region and the foreign matter. Thus, not-lit display regions are reduced as less as possible, making it possible to manufacture an organic EL display excellent in display performance.

  • Publication number: 20040135498
Abstract: At least one of an organic emitting layer, an electron injection layer and an electron transfer layer for pixels of an organic electroluminescence panel is formed from a deposition material by deposition via mask holes of a multilayer metal mask. The multilayer metal mask has a first metal layer on the side of a transparent substrate for forming the organic electroluminescence panel and a second metal layer on the side of a supply source of the deposition material, which metal layers are different in material. The second metal layer is made of a thick plate of magnetic material. The area of each first mask hole of the first metal layer is made equal to or smaller than that of each second mask hole of the second metal layer. Such a configuration can provide a metal mask forming organic electroluminescence devices with high reliability, high mechanical strength and high performance. Thus, a high-definition and high-quality organic electroluminescence display panel can be realized.
