  • Patent number: 5887214
Abstract: The apparatus for coating a photosensitive material (M) with a processing liquid comprises an activator coating mechanism (43) for metering a constant amount of activator to apply the metered activator to the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive material fed by the pair of introduction rollers. The activator is supplied form a plurality of discharge holes (121) bored in a pipe (122) and is once received by a receiving portion (124). The activator is diffused horizontally and flows downwardly through a plurality of openings (123) bored at the bottom of the receiving portion onto a coating roller (125). The activator is diffused again at the contact between the coating roller and a diffusion film (126) and is coated to the photosensitive material by the coating roller.

  • Patent number: 5839011
Abstract: The apparatus for coating a lithographic printing plate or a photosensitive material (M) with a processing liquid comprises first and second pairs of feed rollers (41,42: 44,45) for feeding the photosensitive arterial along a predetermined path. A coating roller (125) is provided therebetween. Guide members (48, 49) contact the bottom surface of the photosensitive material and to guide the photosensitive material. The contacts of the guide members and the photosensitive material are at the levels higher than the coating level at which the processing liquid is applied to the photosensitive material to prevent uneven coating of the photosensitive material with the processing liquid after the trailing edge of the photosensitive material has passed the first pairs of the feed rollers (41,42).

  • Patent number: 5349412
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for developing and fixing a silver salt photosensitive material. The apparatus uniformly applies a fixed amount of new or unused processing solution onto the photosensitive material so as to maintain processing quality and reduce a required volume of the processing solution and labor for maintenance.New or unused developer supplied from a developer nozzle 82 and temporarily stored in a basin 143 is uniformly held in pores on the surface of a developer applying roller 93. While the developer applying roller 93 is rotated, the new developer held in the pores of the roller 93 is applied onto the surface of a photosensitive material PM, which is pressed against the circumference of the roller 93 during conveyance, to develop the photosensitive material PM. The apparatus of the invention develops the photosensitive material with new developer applied to the roller 93 and thereby maintains processing quality even when a large number of photosensitive materials PM are processed.

  • Patent number: 5307109
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for processing silver salt photosensitive material with a small amount of processing solution. The processing solution uniformly reacts with the photosensitive material for maintaining high processing quality. The apparatus of the invention includes: a process tank 96 which is relatively small in volume; and a developer supply roller 98 which is partly soaked in the processing solution. New or unused developer is temporarily stored in a temporary reservoir 100 formed on the circumference of the roller, held in pores of sponge formed on the surface of the developer supply roller, and supplied to an inlet of photosensitive material PM in the process tank 96 with rotation of the roller 98. The new processing solution is uniformly diffused, along the width of the photosensitive material PM, in the vicinity of the inlet in the stored processing solution. Accordingly, the photosensitive material PM is evenly and efficiently processed.

  • Patent number: 5274419
Abstract: A reproduction magnification of an image to be reproduced is inputted through a inputting device. A projection optical system is adjusted according to the reproduction magnification, and then projects image light reflected from an original in the form of a slit onto a photosensitive material sheet. As projecting the slit image light, the original and the photosensitive material sheet are synchronously fed each other.

  • Patent number: 5274427
Abstract: The slit exposure process camera keeps a photosensitive material flat in the exposure position, and further makes a useless area on the material smaller. The apparatus includes: a pair of feeding rollers 25 disposed upstream from the exposure position for conveying a photosensitive material PM; a transport guide 61 with a flat surface arranged downstream from the rollers 25; and a pressing plate 70 with sufficient elasticity and abrasion resistance for pressing the photosensitive material PM downward. The photosensitive material PM thus pressed runs in contact with a surface of the transport guide 61 and is thereby kept sufficiently flat. Since the process camera does not include another pair of rollers downstream from the exposure position, image reproduction is not disturbed by nipping of the photosensitive material with the downstream rollers, and an unusable area on the end of the photosensitive material is made relatively small.

  • Patent number: 4914473
Abstract: A multiple-exposure apparatus in a graphic arts copying machine of a slit-exposure type includes an original holding member mounted for horizontal reciprocating motion. An optical exposure system exposes an optical image of a slitwise segment of the original onto a photosensitive material. A moving device reciprocates the holding member and conveys the photosensitive material relative to the optical system. The moving device is adapted to synchronize the advance of the original holding member and the conveyance of the photosensitive material. A data setting device is provided for setting predetermined data concerning a predetermined multiple-exposure layout mode of the original onto the photosensitive material. A control unit controls the operation of the optical exposure system by enabling and disabling the exposure by the optical system and also synchronizes the moving device in an associated relationship as a function of the predetermined set data.
