  • Patent number: 5615437
Abstract: In a floor-surface polisher in which floor-surface is polished by a pad which is mounted within a pad cover and rotated at a high speed by a motor during the traveling operation of the polisher, a floor-surface polisher equipped with a function for adjusting a pad pressure being characterized in that the pad is resiliently supported by a support force, the support force directing upwardly to separate the pad away from the floor-surface, a plurality of very small spaces being formed within the pad so that a drawing force for lowering the pad toward the floor-surface against the upwardly-directing support force will be generated during a high speed rotation of the pad, electric-current value setter for adjusting, either automatically or manually, an electric-current value of the motor to a pre-set value, the setter being mounted on a control portion of the pad motor.

  • Patent number: 5363600
Abstract: In a floor polisher for polishing a floor by rotating a pad by a motor while running the floor polisher by way of pushing an operation handle, a dust scattering prevention device in the floor polisher comprising a dust scattering prevention cover which is provided at least a lower end portion thereof with a ring-shaped core bar and the whole of which is formed into a generally skirt-like shape widened toward a lower end thereof, using a flexible cloth, the cover being attached to a lower end opening of a pad covering an upper surface side of the pad in such a manner as that a lower end portion of the cover is in contact with the floor.

  • Patent number: 4910824
Abstract: A floor polisher, while travelling, causes a pad to rotate at a high speed to polish a floor. The floor polisher has a vertically moving mechanism adapted to move the pad in the vertical direction with respect to the floor, a ground pressure adjusting mechanism adapted to maintain a ground pressure of the pad a set pressure by controlling the vertically moving mechanism, and a floor protecting mechanism adapted to actuate the vertically moving mechanism to lift the pad immediately when the travel of the floor polisher is stopped.
