  • Patent number: 7499193
Abstract: There is described an apparatus, which includes an image-forming section to form a multicolor image on a recording medium by recording the unicolor images in such a manner that the unicolor images overlap each other, based on printing image data sets of them, and a controlling section that determines at least a sub-scanning velocity in a sub-scanning direction relative to the recording medium, corresponding to a printing magnification factor, so as to adjust an output-start timing in the sub-scanning direction for every printing image data set, in response to the sub-scanning velocity determined in advance. Further, the controlling section also determines a main-scanning velocity in a main-scanning direction, corresponding to the printing magnification factor, so as to adjust output-start timings in both the main-scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction for every printing image data set, in response to the main-scanning velocity and the sub-scanning velocity, both determined in advance.

  • Patent number: 7428708
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a CPU core, and displays a related image according to selection of a main menu icon. For example, in a case that a timer counting for each frame holds a predetermined value, it is determined whether or not the display of the related image has to be switched. If it is determined that the switch is necessary, the display of the related image is switched, and if it is not necessary, the display of the related image is not switched. The time is reset when the selection of the main menu icon and the display of the related image are changed. For example, in a case that selection of the main menu icon continues to be quickly changed, the timer does not reach the predetermined value, so that the related image is never switched.

  • Patent number: 7392002
Abstract: When conducting a color-shift-correcting mode using a registration mark formed by the image forming section on an image carrier, the image detecting section outputs the image detection signal representing the line width of the registration mark and the control section calculates the line width of the registration mark from the image detection signal. The control section compares a line width of the registration mark with a predetermined reference value of the line width to discriminate between abnormality and normality. If normality, the control section continues the color-shift-correcting mode and if abnormality the control section conducts the image forming system restoration mode after stopping the execution of the color-shift-correcting mode. Therefore, even in the case where a white spot is generated for some reasons on the registration mark, the color-shift-correcting mode can be conducted on the normal registration mark with the help of the image forming system restoration mode.

  • Patent number: 7079172
Abstract: The invention concerns an image-forming apparatus employing a clock-generating circuit, which generates dot clock pulses utilized for an image-writing section of the image-forming apparatus. The clock-generating circuit includes a digital-delay dot clock adjusting section to generate first dot clock pulses having a predetermined number of pulses within a predetermined time interval at a constant exposing range of the image-writing section, wherein each period of the first dot clock pulses is slightly increased or reduced by changing a selection for a plurality of delayed clock pulses, which are generated by delaying clock-pulses, outputted from a reference oscillator, in slightly different delay times; and a jitter suppressing section to suppress a jitter component included in the first dot clock pulses, wherein the jitter suppressing section divides the first dot clock pulses to generate second dot clock pulses, and then, multiplies the second dot clock pulses to generate the dot clock pulses.

  • Patent number: 6972732
Abstract: An information display system in which information can be referred to without a power supply anytime and anywhere like information recorded on paper, and in which information can be rewritten repeatedly, and such information can be outputted instantaneously and in large numbers. An image accepted by an image input unit (1 in FIG. 1) is converted by a signal processing unit (11) into a data format for writing the image into a display unit (3). An information sending unit (12) controls plural display elements (3-1 to 3-N), and it sends the information to-be-displayed to the plural display elements (3-1 to 3-N) in parallel through a connector array (13). Thus, the image accepted by the image input unit (1) can be instantaneously displayed on the multiple display elements (3-1 to 3-N). The display elements (3-1 to 3-M) have storability.
