  • Patent number: 7010718
Abstract: The system for supporting network troubleshooting of the invention includes: storage means for periodically storing setting/configuration data and performance data of devices constituting the network based upon a schema of device IDs, interface IDs, and a respective CONFIG version number; monitoring means for monitoring the performance data of the devices by comparing the performance data with respective threshold values; identifying means for identifying the faulty device based upon the schema, when the performance data of at least one device goes beyond a respective threshold value (“faulty device”), wherein the storage means further stores the identified result for network troubleshooting. Thus, the system can estimate a factor of a change of operating condition of the network system and repair accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20050286435
Abstract: A remote management system includes a managed device and a management device connected via a network, where events occurring in the managed device are managed via an event system scheme which can be adapted to a number of managed devices. A management module in the managed device detects an event occurring in the managed device and locates one or more enquiry destinations corresponding to the event, in an event enquiry destination table. An enquiry destination is assigned in cases where one or more enquiry destinations corresponding to the event identifier have not been defined in the event enquiry destination table. The management module makes an enquiry by sending an identifier for the event to the management device. Enquiries are made simultaneously or consecutively to the one or more enquiry destinations.

  • Patent number: 6795827
Abstract: The invention provides a broadcasting information service system capable of timely and flexible generation, management, broadcasting and use of information which fits needs of every user and has little redundancy. An information terminal 600 comprises: one or more of common data files 410 in which the data is presented in tabular form; a receiver unit 610 which receives a data manipulation command file 420 describing the data manipulation for the common data files; and a memory unit for environment variable 670 which stores therein the names and the values of one or more of variables in pairs. The data manipulation of the received data file is performed in accordance with the contents of the memory unit for environment variable 670 and the specification of the data manipulation command file 420, and stores therein the results of the manipulation.

  • Publication number: 20020135610
Abstract: A system and method for visualizing multi-layer topology schematics from topology data, enabling view level (layer) change to an alternative view level (layer) by selecting a partial domain on the schematic displayed on the screen. The system may include: view level tables corresponding to all partial domains set in accordance with the arrangement of components in a topology schematic space, wherein each component to be visualized within a partial domain and the view levels of the components are defined. In response to an input whereby a partial domain and a specific view level to which the currently visualized schematic is to change have been selected, the system determines one or more components belonging to the selected view level from the view table for the specified partial domain and visualizes the component(s) within the selected domain.

  • Patent number: 5734923
Abstract: An information output apparatus which outputs guide information in combination with image, text, voice and sign-language so that hearing impaired, handicapped people can easily recognize the guide information. The sign-language is automatically generated by computer graphics on the basis of text information inputted to the apparatus. A user can edit the generated sign-language. When it is desired to perform a generating operation over additional sign-language information, a transitional picture is automatically inserted between the sign-language words to provide clear discrimination between the words. The inserting manner can be specified by the user.

  • Patent number: 4931935
Abstract: A user interface system for information retrieval which includes apparatus for sequentially effecting syntactic and semantic analysis, every time a retrieval request sentence is inputted on words and clauses of the request sentence, apparatus inputted for creating partial syntactic and semantic expressions from successively obtained results of the syntactic and semantic analysis, apparatus for predicting words or clauses which are to be next inputted as the retrieval request sentence by making use of a semantic relation between the syntactic and semantic expression and an associated task, apparatus for displaying candidates for the predicted clauses, and apparatus for taking in selected clauses as subsequent clauses of the retrieval request sentence by and permitting a user to select at least one of the displayed candidates.

  • Patent number: 4672668
Abstract: In order to produce and store a pattern of reference words for use in a speaker-dependent speech recognition system, the system prompts the operator of the system to speak standard words in a predetermined sequence. For this purpose, a prestored standard word is spoken by the system with a predetermined length, power and rhythm, and the operator then repeats the standard words while attempting to simulate the same predetermined length, power and rhythm. The standard word repeated by the operator is detected and processed to determine whether it meets a certain resemblance criteria with respect to the standard word as spoken by the system. If the standard word repeated by the operator does not meet the resemblance criteria, the system repeats the same standard word to prompt the operator to try again; and, if the standard word repeated by the operator meets the resemblance criteria, it is stored as a reference word. This operation is repeated for each of the sequence of prestored standard words.

  • Patent number: 4401849
Abstract: Speech signal presence is decided if total signal power is above a first threshold, and if either low or high frequency components exceed thresholds as a large fraction of the total power. Total power is calculated as the zero-order auto-correlation coefficient, and fractional power of frequency components is calculated as the first-order partial auto-correlation coefficient.

  • Patent number: 4347408
Abstract: A multi-frequency signal receiver, in which the digital input signals having the sampling frequency of 8 KHz or a multiple thereof are resampled at a sampling frequency of 4 KHz by means of a resampling circuit and in which the signals thus resampled are subjected to the band selection by means of a digital filter so that the frequency of the input signals may be identified.
