  • Publication number: 20130311174
Abstract: An audio control device includes: a situation determination unit that determines a situation of environment when a sound is obtained; and a control unit that applies any one of automatic level control and a gain fixation control to a sound obtained by a sound obtaining unit, the control unit controlling gain automatically based on a result of determination by the situation determination unit such that a sound level is at a constant level in the automatic level control and fixing gain to a predetermined value in the gain fixation control.

  • Publication number: 20060197843
Abstract: A digital camera includes a gyroscope for sensing an angle by which the image sensing surface of the camera is tilted relative to the horizontal direction. A system controller, when receiving the tilt angle from the gyroscope, adds the tilt angle to image data temporarily stored in an image memory, which is included in a signal processor, in the form of tag information. A correcting circuit rotates the image in the opposite direction by the tilt angle in accordance with the tag information added to image data and causes a monitor to display the resulting image. The digital camera thus produces the image to be displayed in its adequate position without resorting to any device for holding the camera in its adequate position.

  • Patent number: 5595101
Abstract: In a method for making splice indicating holes through photographic paper, a long strip of photographic paper web is conveyed in its longitudinal direction and is slit into a plurality of narrow webs, a tail end of the photographic paper web is spliced to a leading end of a new photographic paper web, and a plurality of splice indicating holes are made through the new photographic paper web at positions, which are spaced a predetermined distance from the splice of the new photographic paper web, the predetermined distance being taken in the longitudinal direction of the new photographic paper web, and which coincide with center parts of narrow webs into which the new photographic paper web will later be slit.

  • Patent number: 5434837
Abstract: A medium testing method capable of testing a WORM (Write Once Read Memory) type optical disk efficiently and accurately, and a system for practicing the method. A playback unit plays back a disk to output a radio frequency (RF) signal representative of data stored therein. As the RF signal is routed through an RF amplifier to an error detecting unit, the detecting unit decodes the signal frame by frame and detects correctable errors and uncorrectable errors while correcting the errors of each frame. A track information detecting unit reads track information out of lead-in areas and outputs them. An error processing unit determines gaps between consecutive tracks by calculation on the basis of the track information. Subsequently, the error processing unit removes errors lying in the gaps from the error information received from the error detecting unit.
