  • Patent number: 10693332
Abstract: A rotor of an electric machine has a circumferential surface and a permanent-magnet structure on the circumferential surface . A contour of the permanent-magnet structure has a stepped section with several steps, whereby each step has a first extension that is oriented essentially perpendicularly to the circumferential direction of the circumferential surface as well as a second extension that is oriented parallel to the circumferential direction and that connects the first extension to a first extension of an adjacent step. The first extension of a first step differs from the first extension of a second step that is adjacent to the first step and/or the second extension of a first step differs from the second extension of the second step.

  • Patent number: 10263500
Abstract: An electric machine includes a rotor having a magnetic field generating device for generating a magnetic flux. A flux changing apparatus of the electric machine includes an axially displaceable body that is disposed axially outside the magnetic field generating device for changing a magnetic flux within a gap between the rotor and a stator in dependence upon an axial position of the body relative to the rotor. The flux changing apparatus includes an adjusting device for axially adjusting the axial position of the body relative to the rotor. The adjusting device includes an actuator and an adjusting element. The actuator acts on the body via the adjusting element. The adjusting element engages the body and/or the actuator in such a manner that a rotational movement of the body can be decoupled from the adjusting element, a housing of the electric machine, the rotor and/or the actuator.

  • Patent number: 8212509
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for positional recognition of a rotor of an electronically commutated electric machine, in particular an electric motor, in which a zero crossover of a voltage induced in a coil section of the rotor or stator is used for positional recognition. According to the invention, to determine the zero crossover the coil section is briefly powered down. A rotor/stator is used, comprising at least two coil sections, one of which has a lower inductance relative to the other one, and preferably only the coil section with the lower inductance is used for the positional recognition.
