  • Patent number: 9656196
Abstract: A filter media for an air filter having a PF value higher than ever, and an air filter provided with the same. The filter media for an air filter is composed of wet-laid nonwoven fabric containing a glass fiber having an average fiber diameter of less than 1 and a binder fiber, and wherein the wet-laid nonwoven fabric contains a fluorine resin and a surfactant, and does not contain a resin binder or contains a binder resin in an amount of 50% by mass or less based on the fluorine resin.

  • Patent number: 8662316
Abstract: A filter medium for liquid filtration of fine texture exhibiting high strength when wetted with water, which filter medium is comprised of a wet-laid nonwoven fabric. There is provided a filter medium for liquid filtration comprised of a wet-laid nonwoven fabric, characterized in that through blending of 0.5 to 40 wt. % of unbeaten natural fibers, it exhibits a very fine texture, a lowering ratio, calculated from bursting strength in ordinary state and bursting strength when wetted with water, of 30% or below, and a bursting strength, had when wetted with water, of 300 kPa or greater.

  • Patent number: 7520912
Abstract: It is intended to provide an air purification filter which has a high dry tensile strength, a high wet tensile strength in association with a high water resistance and a high water repellency and exhibits a bactericidal effect due to a gas phase reaction in a gas phase. Namely, an air purification filter having a high dry tensile strength, a high wet tensile strength (a high water resistance) and a high water repellency as well as a bactericidal effect which is obtained by blending a filter fiber having a functional group with a mixture of a modification enzyme which has an ionic polarity opposite to the ionic polarity of the whole filter fiber as described above and a bactericidal effect with an ionic synthetic resin binder having the opposite ionic polarity similar to the modification enzyme.
