Abstract: A system and method are provided for configuring an access list on a first computing device for defining communication between the first computing device and a plurality of computing devices in a Bluetooth communication local network. The method comprises: generating a discovery request at the first computing device, the discovery request targeted to the plurality of computing devices and configured to generate a list of discovered devices for communication; and identifying at the first computing device, via a user interface, at least one selected computing device from the discovered devices being permitted to access the first computing device, the at least one selected computing device being defined with at least one device identifier to identify each of the at least one selected computing device in the access list, the access list for subsequent use in preventing access between the first computing device and each computing device not on the access list.

Abstract: There is provided a method and system for sharing a pre-determined plurality of resources of a limited resource computing device with a plurality of resource dependent devices. The method comprises: determining a plurality of groups based on said pre-determined plurality of resources; classifying each said resource dependent device as a member of one of said groups based on device information associated therewith; associating each said group with a particular one of said pre-determined resources, such that each said group shares said particular resource; and selecting one of said resource dependent devices in each said group for permitting subsequent connection between said selected resource dependent device with said associated particular resource.

Abstract: A method and system for connection management and resource sharing is provided. The method includes; initial setting up each resource dependent device, including: classifying a resource dependent device in group and assigning a resource associated with a limited resource device to the group; and selecting one resource dependent device from each group to be actively connected to the corresponding resource of the limited resource device. The system includes: an initial setting up module for classifying a resource dependent device in group and assigning a resource available in a limited resource device to the group; and a selector for selecting a single resource dependent device from each group to be actively connected to the corresponding resource of the limited resource device.
