Abstract: A system is provided for particularly installing wood door jambs to metal studded wall door openings and for mounting hardwood trim to the jambs and walls. The system includes a clip with structure adapted to engage wall structure to secure the clip to the wall. The clip further includes engagement structure adapted to engage cooperating engagement structure on the back face of vertical hardwood door trim. The hardwood trim is easily mounted without the necessity of pre-drilling holes through the hardwood trim and damaging the natural wood beauty of the visible front face. the clip also includes structure for engaging a door jamb member so that the door jamb may be secured to the door frame. A method for mounting hardwood trim and a door jamb is also provided.
