  • Patent number: 10522388
Abstract: An SOI IC includes a polysilicon/silicon plug extending through the buried insulation layer between a P-type handle layer and a P-type device layer. An N-type well region is formed in the device layer over the polysilicon/silicon plug, and then a high-voltage (HV) device is formed in the well region such that part of its drift region is located over the polysilicon/silicon plug. Doping of the well region, the polysilicon/silicon plug and the handle layer is coordinated to form a P-N junction diode that couples the HV device, by way of the polysilicon/silicon plug, to a ground potential applied to the handle layer, thereby increasing the HV device's breakdown voltage by expanding its depletion region to include the handle layer. The polysilicon/silicon plug grows in holes formed through the insulation layer during the epitaxial silicon growth process used to form the device layer.

  • Patent number: 10193831
Abstract: A packet processing system and method for processing data units are provided. A packet processing system includes a processor, first memory having a first latency, and second memory having a second latency that is higher than the first latency. A first portion of a queue for queuing data units utilized by the processor is disposed in the first memory, and a second portion of the queue is disposed in the second memory. A queue manager is configured to push new data units to the second portion of the queue and generate an indication linking a new data unit to an earlier-received data unit in the queue. The queue manager is configured to transfer one or more queued data units from the second portion of the queue to the first portion of the queue prior to popping the queued data unit from the queue, and to update the indication.

  • Patent number: 9154437
Abstract: There is provided a network device comprising a physical queue management processor configured to manage attributes of physical queues of data packets. The network device further comprises a scheduling processor which is configured to manage scheduling nodes that establish a scheduling hierarchy among the physical queues in a network, utilizing a bi-directional mapping of the physical queues to logical queues. The network device further comprises a traffic management processor which is configured to modify the bi-directional mapping mentioned above.

  • Patent number: 9042220
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for network traffic scheduling. The method includes selecting, at a present node within a node hierarchy that multiplexes a plurality of input nodes to an output node, a winning node from a plurality of lower level nodes, obtaining first parameters provided from the winning node, the first parameters being in association with the winning node, determining second parameters in association with the present node at least partially based on the first parameters, and providing the second parameters in association with the present node to an upper level node in the node hierarchy for scheduling at the upper level node. To determine the second parameters in association with the present node, in an embodiment, the method includes using the first parameters to look up an entry in a lookup table that stores the second parameters in association with the first parameters.

  • Patent number: 7289481
Abstract: A method for communication includes receiving signals transmitted over the air by first and second mobile stations on a common frequency channel in a wireless packet network, the signals carrying first and second data packets transmitted by the first and second mobile stations, respectively, the first and second data packets comprising respective, first and second headers. The received signals are processed so as to identify the first header. Responsively to the identified first header, signal values corresponding to at least a portion of the first data packet are reconstructed, and the reconstructed signal values are subtracted from the received signals so as to produce a modified signal. The modified signal is processed in order to identify the second header. The first and second data packets are demodulated using the identified first and second headers.

  • Patent number: 6629270
Abstract: A method and device for initializing a plurality of fail silent computer nodes, coupled to a communication media; the plurality of fail silent computer nodes are adapted to exchange data frames via the communication media. The initialization is based upon sending an initialization word for synchronizing the plurality fail silent computer nodes. The transmission of an initialization word depends upon the state of the computer system and especially the status of the communication media.
