  • Patent number: 11882172
Abstract: A program causes a processor to carry out: a step of defining a virtual space including a web browser; a step of providing web content on the web browser based on an access to a URL address, a step of providing the web content displayed on the web browser as a 360-degree web content developed in the virtual space based on a first operation input of a user; a step of controlling a field-of-view from a virtual camera arranged in the virtual space in accordance with a movement of a head of the user; and a step of displaying a field-of-view image corresponding to the field-of-view on an image display apparatus associated with the head of the user. The web content and the 360-degree web content are web screens for selecting moving image content to be reproduced from one or more pieces of moving image content.

  • Patent number: 10477198
Abstract: A display control method with which a captioned image can be displayed in the visual field of a user irrespective of a change in the line-of-sight direction of the user. The display control method includes a step of generating visual-field image data, which represents a visual-field image, based on the line-of-sight direction of a user and 360-degree space image data. The method further includes a step of receiving captioned image data, which represents a captioned image. The method further includes a step of displaying on an HMD a composite image of the visual-field image and from the captioned image, based on the visual-field image data and the captioned image data. The composite image is displayed is displayed at a given place in the visual-field image irrespective of a change in the line-of-sight direction of the user.

  • Patent number: 10319346
Abstract: A method includes defining a virtual space to be associated with a first user. The virtual space includes a second avatar associated with a second user. The virtual space is associated with a first head-mounted device (HMD) connectable to a first computer. The method further includes receiving a signal transmitted from a second computer associated with a second user. The method further includes detecting a communication quality between the first computer and the second computer based on the signal. The method further includes displaying the second avatar in the virtual space based on the detected communication quality.

  • Publication number: 20190005731
Abstract: A method of providing a virtual space according to at least one embodiment of this disclosure includes defining a first virtual space, wherein the first virtual space comprises a virtual viewpoint and a first camera object. The method further includes defining a first visual field in the virtual space based on a position and posture of the first camera object. The method further includes generating a first visual-field image corresponding to the first visual field. The method further includes displaying the first visual-field image in the first camera object. The method further includes detecting a motion of a first head-mounted device (HMD) associated with a first user. The method further includes defining a second visual field in the virtual space based on the detected motion and a position of the virtual viewpoint in the virtual space, wherein the second visual field comprises the first camera object.

  • Publication number: 20180374275
Abstract: A method includes acquiring first content data. The method further includes defining a virtual space based on the first content data. The method further includes generating image data of a still image corresponding to a portion of the virtual space. The method further includes associating the image data with the first content data. The method further includes receiving instructions for replacing the first content data with second content data. The method further includes updating the image data to replace the first content data with the second content data in response to the receiving of the instructions for replacing.

  • Publication number: 20180299948
Abstract: A method includes defining a virtual space and arranging in the virtual space an avatar object. The avatar has a second portion corresponding to a first portion of a user. The method includes detecting a position of the first portion. The method includes moving the second portion to a first position corresponding to the detected position of the first portion. The method includes determining whether the position of the first portion is not identifiable. The method includes moving, in response to a determination that the position of the first portion is not identifiable, the second portion to a second position corresponding to a previously detected position of the first portion. The method includes determining whether detection of the position of the first portion is resumed. The method includes moving the position of the second portion to a third position corresponding position corresponding to a position of the first portion.
