    Abstract: A storage container for tobacco, spices and herbs has an airtight lid with a storage cavity on top for temporary storage of ground particulates. The cavity has ramp for dispensing ground material in a controlled manner, and a removable cover plate with a built-in grinder for grinding the stored material and allowing it to fall directly into the cavity. A recessed storage compartment on the bottom of the lid holds a humidity stabilizer which controls the humidity inside the container to help preserve material stored in the container. A rotary grinder can also be removably attached to the storage container.

The metal sheet may include an opening adjacent an edge of the sheet, and a flexible link may be fastened to the metal sheet through the opening.
