  • Patent number: 9683899
Abstract: A sealed, immersible, fast responding, coaxial thermocouple assembly and mounting arrangement thereof, for fast temperature reading of high flow rate liquid streams in mixing valves comprising an insulated first-metal wire and a surrounding dissimilar second-metal tube, the second-metal tube is crimped at a first end over a stripped extremity of the insulated first-metal wire to form a large surface area, sealed thermocouple junction, shaped as a radial array of fins axially extending along a tip portion of the thermocouple assembly. A collar ring holder and elbow mounting arrangement is maintaining the thermocouple assembly longitudinal axis principally in the direction of the flow of the liquid stream axially flowing along the tip portion and at least an additional substantial portion of the thermocouple assembly length.

  • Patent number: 9127779
Abstract: A frictionless, pressure balanced proportioning valve assembly, for low power electric operated thermostatic cartridge, composed of a housing with spaced apart hot and cold water inlets and intermediate mixed water outlet, flow communicated to a spool bore with a central widened portion; a spool, guided in the spool bore, by widened end portions, is carrying a central widened disk portion, separating the spool bore into two tubular inlet chambers; two diaphragm seals disposed at both ends of the spool and housing, pressure balancing the inlet chambers; a temperature sensor, exposed to the mixed water outlet pathway, generates a signal, readable by a control circuit; a drive unit energized by a low power electric motor, driving past gear train and eccentric shaft, a bendable connecting rod, axially displacing the spool. Axial displacement of the balanced friction-free spool, proportions flow from the hot and cold water inlets to the mixed water outlet.

  • Patent number: 7832651
Abstract: A fluid mixing valve for producing a mixed fluid stream from first and second inlet fluid streams having different, varying temperatures, and having different, varying pressures, the mixed fluid stream having a substantially stable, preselected temperature of a magnitude between the temperatures of the first and second inlet fluid streams, the fluid mixing valve including a housing and a mixing regulation assembly disposed within the housing. The invention also provides a method for producing a mixed fluid stream from first and second inlet fluid streams having different, varying temperatures, and having different, varying pressures, the mixed fluid stream having a substantially stable, preselected temperature of a magnitude between the temperatures of the first and second fluid streams.

  • Patent number: 5310071
Abstract: A dual-purpose sealable food container / building block element comprising an upper portion and a bottom portion, the upper portion being open, characterized in that at least one of the upper portion and the bottom portion is provided with at least one connecting member, such that a plurality of the container/elements are connectable to one another by engaging the connecting members and sliding toward each other along the connecting members, for use of the container/elements as a toy after completing original use as a food container. By assembling a plurality of food containers in the play mode, three-dimensional structures may be created. In order to enable such large constructions to be firm and steady, the connecting members are of the slide type, engageable by insertion of rails at the open ends of sockets and sliding longitudinally into each other, perpendicular to the forces acting on assembled building blocks.
