  • Patent number: 10970655
Abstract: A method for planning a current medical procedure to be performed on a body part of a current patient includes obtaining a current first representation of a surface of the body part of the current patient, and either obtaining a representation of a desired result surface for the current medical procedure or selecting parameters for the current medical procedure. The method further includes retrieving at least one best matching record from a database of records of previously performed medical procedures of previous patients, based on a similarity criterion. Each record includes: parameters of a previously performed procedure of the previously performed medical procedures, a first representation of the body part of the previous patient prior to performance of the previously performed procedure, and a second representation of a body part of the previous patient after the performance of the previously performed procedure.

  • Patent number: 7522473
Abstract: A controlled acoustic beam generator system comprising: an array of acoustic transmitters; a signal generator, amplifier for amplifying the acoustic signal; multi-channels signal processor, for processing the acoustic signal, distributing corresponding processed acoustic signals, into the array of acoustic transmitters; steering for steering an acoustic beam which is the resultant of transmitted processed signals by the array of acoustic transmitters; and a control unit, for the operation of the system, by controlling the signal generator, the multi-channel signal processor, and the steering.

  • Patent number: 7306367
Abstract: A method and system for measuring remotely the surface temperature of a silicon wafer and layers, without the need to know the surface emissivity. The surface temperature is measured in-situ and in real-time during a high-temperature process, in a vacuum system, by using the linear polarization property of radiation. A blackbody source is heated to various, known temperatures, and provides radiation that impinges on the silicon surface and is reflected from it together with a self-emitted component. This combined reflected radiation is polarized and filtered to an appropriate wavelength, and observed with an imaging camera. Pairs of orthogonally polarized images of the surface are obtained for a set silicon surface temperature and for each blackbody temperature. The pairs of images are analyzed, pixel by pixel, to obtain a null polar level indicative of the surface temperature.

  • Patent number: 6728645
Abstract: A method and system for automatic recognition and classification of a vibrating target among members of a plurality of objects having their vibration spectra stored in a database. In deciding as to which member of an alleged couple of vibrating objects the target should be assigned, the method uses an algorithm of signal processing which is based on wavelet packet analysis to predict a-priory a bandwidth in which the differences between the vibration of the spectrum is mostly pronounced, and the resolution within the bandwidth which is adequate to enable the decision.

  • Patent number: 6657591
Abstract: A method and apparatus for tracking a target. A signal from the target is received using a directional antenna and is digitized to provide a time series of samples. The samples are transformed, preferably by a wavelet transform. A signature of the target is identified in some of the transformed samples and a direction to the target is determined from others of the transformed samples. Target identification and target direction determination are iterated, with the identification being based on the most recently determined direction, and with the direction determination being based on the most recent identification, until a termination criterion is satisfied. Using wavelet transforms gives the antenna an effective beamwidth twenty percent narrower than the antenna aperture.

  • Patent number: 5095631
Abstract: An electronic compass system for determining the heading of an armored vehicle containing a large mass of ferromagnetic material, which system comprises a plurality of sensors, and for real-time computation of the corrections required of actual magnetometer measurements. Part of the values used for the computation are computed in advance, and part in real-time. Some of the computations are based on the perturbation of the earth magnetic field based on an algorithm which takes into account one or two rotational prolate ferromagnetic ellipsoids which have certain dimensions and which are at a predetermined distance from each other either represent the body of an armored vehicle, or when two ellipsoids are used, they represent the hull and turret of a tank.
