  • Patent number: 4894743
Abstract: A pair of replaceable cleaning cartridges adapted to be inserted alternatively into a cassette cleaner. There is a first cleaning cartridge having a drive element which engages a drive member of the machine to cause a cleaning pad to move on a back and forth cleaning path to clean a read/write head. The second cartridge contains a stationary cleaning pad to engage and clean the drive member of the machine.

  • Patent number: 4816952
Abstract: A cleaning cassette for a tape drive machine wherein a capstan of the machine drives a cleaning portion of the cassette across the magnetic head of the machine. The cassette includes a carriage having two ends which extends across the cassette in the length direction, which is pivotally mounted on one end, and which includes a slot around the pivot pin to allow back and fourth motion across the head. The other end of the carriage holds the cleaning portion and is allowed to move toward and away from the head by virtue of the pivotal mounting. A drive gear system in the cassette moves the carriage across the head.

  • Patent number: 4811149
Abstract: A cassette cleaner adapted to be positioned in a cassette receiving recess of a video player/recorder. A cleaning ribbon is mounted in the cassette cleaner, and guide members of the video player/recorder carry the cleaning ribbon outwardly into cleaning engagement with the rotating head of the player/recorder. The cassette cleaner has a stationary locating element which restrains outward movement of a portion of the ribbon so that the ribbon engages the peripheral surface of the rotating drum that carries the head member along two contact locations of relatively short arcuate length. This reduces the frictional engagement of the ribbon relative to the rotating drum.

  • Patent number: 4713856
Abstract: An apparatus and method for cleaning a digitally encoded disc by moving a circumferential wiping surface in a circular path across the periphery of the disc toward the middle of the disc, and again outwardly toward the periphery of the disc. This is accomplished by having a gear drive connection between a rotatable disc support member and a rotatable wiping member positioned above and offset to one side of the support member. Rotation of the cleaning member causes a relatively slower rotation of the support member so that all parts of the disc are properly cleaned.

  • Patent number: 4708311
Abstract: A conventional J-hook is mounted to a slot board by means of an adapter having a front plate fitting against the slot board and a mounting element extending into a slot of the slot board. The J-hook has a right angle finger portion, comprising a laterally extending member which fits in an upper horizontal recess formed in the front plate and mounting portion of the adapter, and an upper finger retaining portion which extends behind the flange defining the slot. The adapter maintains the J-hook in a proper position so that it will not inadvertantly be pulled loose from the slot board by, for example, a lateral and downward force being exterted on the J-hook.

  • Patent number: 4687094
Abstract: A container having a base containing portion and a movable cover portion is provided to contain a product for shipment or storage. The cover of the container is removed, and the base portion of the container, having two upstanding side walls, is suspended from a pegboard or slot board by providing two mounting adaptors to engage the side walls. Two mounting connectors, such as J-hooks, are used to interconnect the mounting adaptors to the pegboard or slot board, so as to mount the base portion of the container to display the product.

  • Patent number: 4655342
Abstract: A case adapted to contain magnetic discs or the like, said case having a box-like containing member with a lid being hinge mounted to, and formed integrally with, the containing member. There is a tray to hold the discs in a displayed position where the tray slants upwardly and forwardly with the lid being fully opened. There is a linkage member comprising two linkage arms interconnecting the tray with the lid so as to cause upward motion of the tray. The tray further has a cam track and cam follower connection with the side walls of the case to program the motion of the tray to its proper display position.

  • Patent number: 4636109
Abstract: A slalom gate which has a lower support member adapted to be inserted into the snow. There is a retractable anchoring member mounted in the support member, in a manner that downward deflection of the post about a lower pivoting connecting portion pulls the anchor member upwardly to cause it to expand outwardly into the snow, thus resisting retraction of the support member from the snow. When the gate returns to its upright position, the anchoring member retracts so that the gate can more easily be removed from the snow.

  • Patent number: 4635154
Abstract: A cassette cleaner for a video player/recorder having a cleaning ribbon which comes into frictional engagement with the drum and playing head of the player/recorder. The ribbon has a contact surface with an alternating pattern of raised portions and recessed portions. This lessens the drag created by the engagement of the ribbon with the drum and playing head.

  • Patent number: 4632597
Abstract: A telescoping support post having a bell member slide mounted thereon to engage a mouth of a musical instrument in a manner to support the instrument. The inner telescoping member has a releasable holding member eccentrically mounted thereon. This holding member has a resilient finger frictionally engaging the inner surface of the outer telescoping member to insure proper locking and release action. In addition, the holding member has cooperating stop means to limit rotation between these two positions.A similar device is operatably positioned between the bell member and the upper telescoping member so that the bell member can be adjusted vertically on the second telescoping member and held in any selected position.

  • Patent number: 4616283
Abstract: A cassette-like housing having a cleaning ribbon mounted therein and wound on a pair of spools. The housing is adapted to be positioned in a playing location of a conventional playing/recording unit to operatively engage the video head and other components of the unit to clean the same. There is a cleaning cartridge to clean the capstan and pinch roller of the unit, and this cartridge is adjustable to be moved between two separate locations. In one location, the ribbon is between the capstan and pinch roller, and in the other location, it bypasses the capstan and pinch roller. There is also a mirror device to activate the shut off mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4580185
Abstract: A cassette case adapted to be placed in the cassette recess of a video player/recorder. A cleaning ribbon is mounted in the case and is moved outwardly by tape-guides of the player/recorder to engage the video head and audio head of the player/recorder. To cause the cleaning ribbon to retract after the cleaning operation, there is provided a shut-off ribbon, operated by the drive spindle of the player/recorder, with the shut-off ribbon cooperating with the light/photocell already in the player/recorder. A tension ribbon is connected to the cleaning ribbon to move the cleaning ribbon out of engagement with the video playing/recording head and audio head to its retracted position.
