Publication number: 20140258053Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for accounting of financial instruments. The accounting method for financial instrument may include receiving financial instrument data and classifying the financial instrument data into position components. The financial instrument data may be classified into position components based on three distinctions. The first distinction may determine whether the position component is operational or analytical. The second distinction may determine whether the position component is dependent or independent on a value-date. The third distinction may determine whether the position component is event-driven, deterministic or stochastic. The financial instrument accounting may be performed using the financial instrument data classified into the position components.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 7, 2013Publication date: September 11, 2014Applicant: SAP AGInventors: Ekkehard Lange, Matthias Schauer

Patent number: 8630973Abstract: Calculations to be performed on a massive data set may be delegated to a plurality of local servers for parallel processing. Each local server advances through a subset of database objects to determine if the objects are relevant to the calculation. If so, the objects' data is used as an operand to the calculation to generate intermediate results at the local server. The intermediate results of the various local servers are transmitted to a central server, which generates final results and transmits them back to the local servers. The local servers write the final results into each object in its respective subset, where relevant. The method is efficient because each object in the database is opened at most twice. Opening and closing database objects often involve transfers from bulk storage and, therefore, are some of the most time-consuming operations that computer systems perform.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2004Date of Patent: January 14, 2014Assignee: SAP AGInventors: Jens Becher, Bernd Hartmann, Michael Hild, Ekkehard Lange

Patent number: 8595095Abstract: In a banking application system including numerous banking applications, a data management framework allows for the generalized storage and subsequent access of result data. Through the application of the framework to the raw processing data generated by one of the banking applications, the result data is stored in a general storage location. Through this framework, the data is then readily accessible by all other banking applications. This framework includes a header field, characteristics data and key figure data. This removes proprietary restrictions on the data itself and thus makes it available to the other applications, increasing cross-system efficiency by allowing other applications to access and subsequently use the result data.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2006Date of Patent: November 26, 2013Assignee: SAP AGInventors: Andreas S Borchardt, Dirk Endesfelder, Ralf M Handl, Michael Hladik, Roland Kolata, Ekkehard Lange, Christoph Meinel, Frank Raebiger

Patent number: 6579977Abstract: A process is disclosed for producing biosorbents by phosphorylation of cellulose-containing materials with phosphoric acid or ammonium phosphate in the presence of urea. Also disclosed are biosorbents with particular good use properties. Biosorbents of this type are used, in particular, for removing heavy metals from aqueous solutions. Proceeding from the disadvantages of the known prior art, purification costs of resultant raw products should be lowered and the formation of unwanted soluble organic polymer phosphates as by-products should be prevented. The biosorbents should have an improved mechanical strength and very good use properties. The disclosed biosorbents contain 5-10 % phosphorus and 1-4 % nitrogen in the form of carbamide groups. The synthesis mixture is mixed with elementary sulphur before starting the reaction in order to produce biosorbents with an increased mechanical strength. The proposed procedure allows reducing the otherwise customary reaction temperatures by about 40° C.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2000Date of Patent: June 17, 2003Assignee: EISU Innovative Gesellschaft fur Technik und Umweltschutz mbHInventors: Friedemann Pieschel, Ekkehard Lange, Juan Camacho, Christine Fieseler, Hendrik Ikier

Patent number: 5547625Abstract: In order to manufacture flexible plastic bands of a thermoplastic synthetic resin containing 40% or more by volume hard materials and/or soldering powder, two grooved and heated shearing rollers arranged parallel to one another and running in opposite directions are used onto which components are applied. The front shearing roller must have a temperature of 25.degree. to 90.degree. C. on the application side and of 30.degree. to 80.degree. C. on the removal side, the rear shearing roller must have a temperature of 30.degree. to 130.degree. C. on the application side and on the removal side of 35.degree. to 100.degree. C., and the temperature of the rear shearing roller must be at least 5.degree. C. above the temperature of the front shearing roller. In addition, the front shearing roller must exhibit a speed of 5 to 25 rpms and the rear roller a speed which is 5 to 70% lower.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 1994Date of Patent: August 20, 1996Assignee: Degussa AktiengesellschaftInventors: Karlheinz Gleissner, Hans-Martin Ringelstein, Ekkehard Lange
