  • Publication number: 20250002150
Abstract: A passive cooling unit for cooling food, preferably food received in a storage container, comprises a casing insulating an interior from an environment surrounding the casing, the casing having an air inlet and outlet and comprising within its interior a dry ice receiving space and an airflow channel for guiding air to be cooled. The airflow channel is arranged in airflow communication with the air inlet and outlet. The unit further comprises an electrically operated airflow device which creates an airflow through the airflow channel, and a thermal electrical generator for generating electrical power. The thermal electrical generator arranged in the casing in thermal contact with the airflow channel and the dry ice receiving space. The at least one electrically operated airflow device receives power generated by the thermal electrical generator.

  • Patent number: 11873752
Abstract: An expansion tank system for a liquid cooling system includes a first chamber for receiving a coolant, a second chamber for pressurized gas, a first gas conveying device for conveying gas from the first to the second chamber, a second gas conveying device for conveying gas from the second to the first chamber, a first pressure sensor in fluid communication with the first chamber, and a control unit connected to the first gas conveying device, the second gas conveying device and the first pressure sensor for controlling the second conveying device to selectively convey gas from the second to the first chamber if a pressure measured through the first pressure sensor is below a predefined first threshold value, and for controlling the first conveying device to convey gas from the first to the second chamber if a pressure measured through the first pressure sensor is above a second threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11542009
Abstract: A cooling arrangement for a kitchen provided for installation in a means of transport comprises a cooling circuit which can have a cooling medium flowing through it and in which a condenser and an evaporator are arranged. The condenser is accommodated in a condenser housing and is arranged in a first installation space which is intended to form a first sub-region of the kitchen. The evaporator is accommodated in an evaporator housing formed separately from the condenser housing, and is arranged in a second installation space which is intended to form a second sub-region of the kitchen.

  • Patent number: 11111021
Abstract: A temperature regulating system for at least one galley compartment for an in-flight kitchen which is intended for installing in a transport apparatus or vehicle, especially in an aircraft, includes a controllable cooling and heating element, which is designed for selectively cooling or heating a specified section of the cooling and heating element, and a heat-insulating partitioning wall, which at least partially adjoins an encompassing side edge of the cooling and heating element and encloses the specified section of the cooling and heating element. The heat-insulating partitioning wall is designed for separating an interior space of the galley compartment from an interior of a section of a fluid duct which extends in the in-flight kitchen.
