  • Patent number: 4377433
Abstract: A laminating and coating adhesive based on an aqueous dispersion of(1) a copolymer of a vinyl ester, and/or an acrylic acid ester, and/or a further monomer and an ethylenically-unsaturated functional group-containing monomer having from 3 to 18 carbon atoms and hydroxy and carbonyl groups as functional groups, such as a monocarboxylic acid or dicarboxylic acid and/or N-methylol-(meth)-acrylamide,(2) an epoxy compound, and(3) an amine hardener. The adhesive gives a laminate bond with especially high resistance to peeling even in the case of thermal stress and/or in the presence of water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 20, 1981
Date of Patent: March 22, 1983
    Assignee: Wacker-Chemie GmbH
    Inventors: Ekkehard Merz, Robert Singer
  • Patent number: 4322330
Abstract: An adhesive for floor coverings containing(a) 100 parts by weight of an aqueous polymer dispersion having a solids content of from 30% to 70% by weight of the total weight of said dispersion, the solids content consisting of synthetic resin particles of at least a bimodal particle size distribution wherein the majority of the larger particles is at least twice the size of the majority of the smaller particles and where the majority of the larger particles has a particle size distribution of from 0.5 to 3 .mu.m and the majority of the smaller particles has a particle size distribution of from 0.1 to 1 .mu.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 10, 1980
Date of Patent: March 30, 1982
    Assignee: Wacker-Chemie GmbH
    Inventors: Ekkehard Merz, Gerhard Kothe
