Abstract: A method and system for embedding additional information into an electronic communication transmitted via a network from a sending party to a receiving party. An electronic communication processing engine loadable onto a computer intercepts the electronic communication. Information about the communication is extracted and sent to a remote server. The remote server replies with instructions for embedding the additional information and the content of that information. The communication is then modified based on this reply from the remote server, to embed the additional information in it, and subsequently transmitted on to the receiving party.
