  • Patent number: 8241453
Abstract: The object of the invention is a method for building hoses reinforced with spirally laid fibers, where the hose under construction (3) undergoes both rotation and advancing motion relative to the laying head (12), and where the reinforcing fibers are unwound from drums (14). The drums (14) are rotated about two axes, the first axis being the principal axis of the drums (A) and the second axis (B) being nearly parallel with the direction in which the fibers are unwound, where the direction of rotation of the drums (14) about the second axis (B) is the same as the direction in which the hose under construction (3) is rotated.

  • Patent number: 6938932
Abstract: The invention relates to a hose comprising a steel coupling (1), in which the structural elements of the hose, namely the reinforcing plies (4), liner (12), carcass (7), and cover (9) are bonded. The main feature of the invention is that the reinforcing plies (4) of the hose, which are partially or entirely bonded with rubber, are embedded in the adhesive resin layer in the coupling device (1) assembled to the vulcanized hose.

  • Patent number: 4923647
Abstract: An apparatus and process for the vulcanization of laminar rubber products wherein the process comprises winding onto a drum an unvulcanized laminar rubber product together with a metallic band, applying a counter force to the metallic band as it is being wound up to prestress the wound up layers, applying substantially uniform pressure on the surface of the conducting band at the point where it and the laminar rubber products are being wound onto the drum and then applying electrical current to the wound up electrically conducting band to provide heat for the vulcanization of the wound up laminar layers. The apparatus comprises two parallel drums interconnected by the metallic band which is first wound with the laminar rubber onto one drum and when the vulcanized laminar rubber is removed the metallic band is wound onto the other drum.

  • Patent number: 4850619
Abstract: An adhesive hose coupling which comprises an outer connecting element for fixing and enclosing the end of a hose to be coupled having a soul, an inner sleeve having peripheral openings in a smooth outer surface thereof and being attached from an end element, said inner sleeve with end element being adapted to provide connection for the coupling, said inner sleeve being adapted to be expanded against the soul of a hose to be coupled without appreciably restricting the flow of a flowing medium through the hose, and a space filler for disposition in a space formed between said outer connecting element, end element, and a hose to be coupled.

  • Patent number: 4489021
Abstract: There is disclosed a process for manufacturing large-diameter, large-length hoses. The process is characterized by applying the elements required for building the hoses onto a flexible foundation lead through an advancing or through an advancing and rotating movement of same while conveying the hose along a curved course, the track of the course having the shape of a preferably closed curve, and by vulcanizing the built up hose preferably by applying electric energy.
