  • Patent number: 6113175
Abstract: An automobile seat having provisions for assisting an individual during entering and exiting of a automobile. One embodiment discloses the displacement of a portion of a bench seat to a position external to the confines of the automobile. The extended seat permits an individual to be situated on the seat at a position outside the automobile wherein retraction of the seat into the automobile, by use of a mechanical slide that can be electrically driven, thereby assists an individual in entering of the automobile. Conversely, extension of the seat during egress conveniently positions an individual outside the automobile.

  • Patent number: 5680094
Abstract: A key reminder device for use in combination with a key lock mechanism having an adjustable timer with a predetermined timer interval electrically coupled to a replaced power supply. The timer is energized upon detection of a conventional key inserted into the key lock mechanism. Should the key remain in the key lock mechanism beyond a predetermined time, the timer will activate an audible alarm to remind the owner of the keys to remove them. Should the timer be set at a low level, the device operates to indicate the presence of a key. When used in combination with a visual indicator, the key reminder provides an indicator of door entry to the hearing impaired.

  • Patent number: 5517381
Abstract: A counter indicator for circuit breakers maintaining a running count of the number of times that a circuit breaker has been tripped and providing a visual indication of a tripped condition. The counter indicator employs time delay circuitry so as to allow the circuit breaker to be switched manually for purposes of testing without registering a tripped condition. A two stage binary coded decimal counter visually displays the amount of counts that the breaker has been tripped or alternatively when a switch handle has been placed in an intermediate position. The device is powered by an independent battery source providing a continuous power supply to maintain memory and power to a visual display only upon detection of a tripped circuit.
