  • Patent number: 11626022
Abstract: Dangerous road events and conditions may be detected and responded to. A first report is received including a first location of a first vehicle and a first acceleration associated with the first vehicle beyond a threshold amount. A second report is received including a second location of a second vehicle and a second acceleration associated with the second vehicle beyond the threshold amount. In response to determining that the first and second reports meet a maximum relative time constraint and a maximum relative location constraint: (i) transmitting a notification to a dispatch console indicative of a potential dangerous road event near the first and second locations, (ii) transmitting a dispatch request to a response vehicle to respond to the potential dangerous road event near the first and second locations, or (iii) storing an indication of the potential dangerous road event.

  • Publication number: 20220202716
Abstract: The present invention relates to empty porous particles having a diameter between 0.1 and 1000 ?m, as measured by e.g. SEM, for use in diagnosis, prevention and/or postponement of neurodegenerative diseases, or for prevention and/or postponement of degeneration of neurons and glia. The invention also relates to a method of identifying biomarkers for use in diagnosis.

  • Publication number: 20120107284
Abstract: A medicament for cell differentiation to alleviate cell and cell-related deficiencies in a mammal is described. The medicament comprises in two or more parts in vitro produced non-activated inducible gene construct(s) capable of expressing transcription factor(s), and optionally additional suppressor(s) or activator(s) of expression of said transcription factor(s), in a cell for transfection, such as a stem cell, and separate exogenous inducer(s) for in vivo expression, such as tetracycline, streptogramin and macrolide. Examples of the cell and cell-related deficiencies are traumatic injuries to the brain and spinal cord, neurodegenerative disorders, stroke, demyelinating disorders, neuropathic pain disorders, diabetes, myocardial infarction, skeletal muscle disorders. Further, a delivery system for delivery of the medicament to a mammal as well as a method of treating cell and cell-related deficiencies in a mammal, are described.

  • Publication number: 20110064702
Abstract: Methods for enhancing beta cell survival and/or for stimulating beta cell proliferation, comprise co-transplanting pancreatic islets, beta cells, and/or stem cells which can generate beta cells, with (i) neural crest stem cells (NCSCs), (ii) tetracycline-regulated gene expression system (Tet-System)-containing neural stem/progenitor cells (TetStock neural stem/progenitor cells), and/or (iii) pre-differentiated stem/progenitor neural cells. Methods for reinnervation in an organ or tissue transplant patient comprise co-transplanting with the organ or tissue (i) neural crest stem cells (NCSCs), (ii) tetracycline-regulated gene expression system (Tet-System)-containing neural stem/progenitor cells (TetStock neural stem/progenitor cells), and/or (iii) pre-differentiated stem/progenitor neural cells.
