  • Patent number: 4919256
Abstract: The invention relates to a loading roller conveyor with drive via intermediate rollers to convey and transport piece goods. An actuator is moved in response to a sensor activated by the piece goods, and intermediate rollers drive support rollers arranged at right angles to the direction of transportation. An actuation device, which is moved by a motor, is displaced between guide rollers and intermediate rollers in the direction of transportation, whereby the intermediate rollers, which are set in motion by the actuation device, are each mounted on a two-part lever joint and which, by way of a shaft shared with the guide roller, are swivel-mounted on two rails running in parallel with the frame, while the hinged shafts are mounted on the actuator with a certain degree of mobility.

  • Patent number: 4291796
Abstract: A retarding conveyor for cargo such as pallets is disclosed. The conveyor is of the type which can be driven in sections by intermediate rollers, the latter being adjustable into a driving position or an idle position by feelers extending into the path of motion of the cargo. Respective sections of the conveyor comprise at least two parallel uninterrupted traction devices which are deflected at the ends of the section by guide wheels joined together for rotation, supports being provided on the conveyor for supporting the traction devices to carry the cargo and at least one of the guide wheels being driven by an intermediate roller.

  • Patent number: 4215775
Abstract: A roller conveyor for conveying items and permitting such items to accumulate in a pressure-free manner, including supporting rollers each having an associated jacket and hub, intermediate rollers each equipped with a sprocket wheel and each forming a driving connection with a respective supporting roller when in a driving position, an endless drive chain engaging all of the sprocket wheels, and a rod assembly provided with a sensor extending into the conveying path of the conveyor and arranged to move the intermediate rollers between their driving position and an idling position, and in which the connection between the jacket and hub of each supporting roller has the form of a slide bearing and the driving connection between each intermediate roller and its associated supporting roller is constituted by a flattened tooth arrangement.
