    Abstract: According to embodiments of the present invention, a method, system and apparatus for controlling power to a computing device on a vehicle is disclosed, the computing device powered from a local power supply. An operational state of the vehicle is detected. The power level of the computing device is controlled based upon the operational state of the vehicle. The power level of the computing device is controlled to a first power level when the vehicle is in a first operational state and controlled to a second power level when the vehicle is in a second operational state.
