  • Patent number: 8717412
Abstract: A method of assembling a panoramic image from a plurality of frames in a camera, the method comprising: (a) acquiring a video stream using a camera; (b) selecting an initial frame from the video stream for capture as a still image; (c) further selecting additional frames; and (d) stitching the additional frames to the initial frame in the camera to create a panoramic image.

  • Patent number: 8506404
Abstract: A wireless gaming method and wireless gaming-enabled mobile terminal are provided for enabling a number of players to participate simultaneously in a game using their mobile terminals. A wireless gaming method of the present invention includes inviting, if a multi-player gaming mode for a game is activated, at least one counterpart terminal on a short range wireless communication network by transmitting a multi-player gaming mode request message; synchronizing, if an acknowledge message is received in response to the multi-player gaming mode request message, game data with the counterpart terminal transmitted the acknowledge message; and generating a game screen with an image taken by the camera as a background image after the game is synchronized; and starting the game with the game screen.

  • Patent number: 7864982
Abstract: A displacement detection method for a portable autonomous device having an integrated image sensor. The method comprises several steps. In the first step a current digital image is received from the image sensor; the current digital image depicting a background scene. Then, the position of a first area within the current digital image is chosen. Afterwards, a later digital image is received from the image sensor depicting an overlapping portion of the background scene. Then, the position of a second area matching to the first area within the later digital image is identified. After a match has been identified, the first and second areas depict approximately the same portion of the background scene. Then, a current motion vector of the portable autonomous device is calculated, according to a displacement between the first area and the second area.

  • Patent number: 7809214
Abstract: A device for converting digital images taken along a predefined movement pattern into a control signal. The device comprises an image input device having a connection to a image sensor. The image input device is adapted to receive the digital images captured during the displacement of the image sensor and determine whether motion measured therein corresponds to any prestored movement pattern, that is to say to a predefined gesture. The device further comprises a movement pattern converter to convert the recognized pattern into the control signal.
