  • Publication number: 20200187975
Abstract: Polypectomy devices and methods for making and using polypectomy devices are disclosed. An example polypectomy device may include an elongate sheath having a proximal end region and a distal end region. A shaft may be slidably disposed within the sheath. A handle may be coupled to the proximal end region of the sheath. The handle may be designed to axially shift the shaft relative to the sheath. A snare may be coupled to the shaft. The snare may include a first region, a traction region, and a distal tip region. The first region may have a non-circular cross-sectional shape. The traction region may include a plurality of traction members. At a position between two adjacent traction members the snare may have a reduced cross-sectional area relative to the first region. The distal tip region may have a circular cross-sectional shape.

  • Patent number: 10657927
Abstract: A system for providing hands-free input to a computer. The system includes one or more artificial cilia mounts attached to an eyelid or eyelash of a user, by which one or more of the artificial cilia extending therefrom are adapted to cause generation of an input command in response to an intentional blinking motion, and a computer to which blinking-derived input commands are transmittable. The system further includes a movement sensor mounted for detecting a calibrated instantaneous head orientation of the user. The system includes a means for duplicating a portion of video data or a representation thereof that would cause corresponding images to be viewable by the user on a computer screen in response to the instantaneous head orientation and for displaying the images corresponding to the duplicated portion.

  • Publication number: 20190071770
Abstract: A method for manufacturing transparent polymer with glass-like properties involves depositing silica glass molecules on a substrate to be coated through a chemical vapor deposition process prior to completing a full curing process. The chemical vapor deposition process is performed within a vacuum or ‘quasi’ vacuum atmosphere, which is held at a temperature below 30° C. Upon completion of the chemical vapor deposition process, curing the coated substrate a second time at a temperature exceeding 150° C. A transparent polymer may be manufactured according to the method described.

  • Patent number: 8531405
Abstract: Method and system for generating letters and characters in a certain language using a standard Latin keyboard, according to which the letters of the certain language which have corresponding Latin letters are generated by pressing the corresponding Latin letter keys, using the standard ASCII code of the keyboard. The standard ASCII code is expanded to an extended code that can represent certain language letters which do not have corresponding Latin letters and certain language letters which do not have corresponding Latin letters but look similar to, or associated with, another certain language letters that do correspond to Latin letters, using the extended code. Certain language letters which do not have corresponding Latin letters are generated by typing the keys where the certain language letters are located on a standard Latin keyboard of the certain language, using the extended code.
