Abstract: A keyboard equipped audiovisial recording and playback device is provided having an input and an output adapted for connection between a users signal source and display device, respectively, and a memory unit with a storage medium enabling random access to programming information stored therein. A keyboard responsive control circuit enables manipulation and transfer of programming information between the input, output and memory. Because of the relative high speed of the control circuitry and memory access, substantially simultaneous recording and playback of television type signals is achieved, thus enabling user controlled programming delay.

Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring subjects is provided having location determining device which provides the location of the subject to a processor. The processor is configured to monitor location with respect to pre-defined safety or security related limits including geographical boundaries, and to alert concerned individuals so that proper corrective action may be taken. The geographical boundaries may be programmed remotely by authorized personnel via a communication link. Additionally, processor inputs may be coupled to other systems, equipment or sensors in order to monitor operational variables or outputs of the coupled devices indicative or safety or security concerns. Furthermore, processor outputs may be coupled to other systems, equipment, or output devices, in order to actuate the coupled devices. Moreover, the processor has memory to enable storage and retrieval of data generated or received by the processor.

Abstract: An automotive unsafe condition recorder is provided having one or more automotive condition sensors coupled to the input of a timer equipped processor. An indicator for alerting the operator is coupled to an output of the processor, which the processor energizes in response to a signal level from the sensor indicating the existence of a predetermined unsafe operating condition. If the unsafe operating condition is not corrected within a predetermined time, the processor transmits information pertaining to the unsafe condition to a storage unit, which accumulates the information for later review.
