  • Patent number: 7868804
Abstract: The present invention relates to emphasizing and de-emphasizing of an analog data signal. Using a main analog driver a data signal indicative of bit values of binary data is converted into a first analog data signal. A second data signal is determined by delaying the data signal a predetermined time interval and inverting the delayed data signal. Using a de-emphasis driver, the second data signal are converted into a second analog data signal, wherein the second analog data signal is additive to the first analog data signal if the data signal and the second data signal are indicative of a same bit value, and wherein the second analog data signal is subtractive to the first analog data signal if the data signal and the second data signal are indicative of an opposite bit value. The first analog data signal is emphasized or de-emphasized by superposing the first analog data signal and the second analog data signal.

  • Publication number: 20090319040
Abstract: An accommodative intra-ocular lens deformable between the unaccommodating and accommodating configurations upon the relaxation and contraction of the ciliary muscle. The lens anterior and posterior portions are substantially sealingly joined together about their peripheral edges and define a lens internal volume filled with a substantially incompressible lens internal fluid. Causing a variable internal fluid pressure exerted on the lens inner surfaces. The lens is configured such that radius of curvature of both the central and peripheral sections of the lens anterior portion will decrease upon an increase in internal fluid pressure and increase upon a decrease in internal fluid pressure.

  • Publication number: 20090075607
Abstract: The present invention relates to adjustment of interconnect power levels in high-speed differential serial links. In an example embodiment, a digital signal received at a digital input port is converted in a driver into a corresponding differential signal and provided to output ports connected to a differential transmission line for provision to a receiver. For adjusting the interconnect power levels between the driver and the receiver a voltage regulator is interposed between a voltage source and the driver. The voltage regulator provides regulated supply voltage to the driver. In operation, the voltage regulator receives from control circuitry a control signal indicative of a predetermined regulated voltage for provision to the driver for a pre-selected type of data transmission. In dependence upon the received control signal the voltage regulator selects the corresponding reference voltage and provides it to the driver.

  • Publication number: 20050234285
Abstract: An intraocular implant including a lens and a shell component. The shell component includes a shell peripheral wall encompassing a shell inner volume for protectively enclosing the lens and allowing the latter to move therein between lens accommodating positions. The lens is pivotable within the shell inner volume between a lens first position wherein the lens is in a substantially proximal relationship relative to a shell wall first segment and a lens second position wherein the lens is in a substantially proximal relationship relative to a shell wall second segment.

  • Patent number: 6382792
Abstract: An optical diagnostic tool for allowing an observer to obtain optical information regarding various characteristics of the eyes of an intended patient. The tool includes an enclosure defining a peripheral wall, a patient end wall and an observer end wall. An optical dividing wall is positioned within the enclosure. The optical dividing wall divides the enclosure into a first and a second optical chamber, allowing for the creation of distinct lighting pattern in the first and second optical chambers. A first and a second patient eye aperture both extend through the patient end wall. The first and second patient eye apertures individually establish visual communication respectively with the first and second optical chambers. An observer visual access structure allows the observer to obtain selective optical access to either one or both of the first and second optical chambers and to either one or both of the corresponding first and second patient eye apertures.
