  • Publication number: 20260169101
Abstract: A method includes receiving, from a sensor proximate a first conductor, a sensor signal representing a measurement of a magnetic field produced by a first current flowing in the first conductor and a second current flowing in a second conductor. The first current includes first and second current components having different frequencies, and the second current includes third and fourth current components. The third current component is phase shifted from, and has the same frequency as the first current component. The fourth current component has a different frequency from the third current component. The method also includes determining reference values of the first and second currents, and, based on the sensor signal and the reference values of the first and second currents, determining for the sensor, a plurality of coupling coefficients representing magnetic field coupling between the first and second conductors.

  • Publication number: 20260060069
Abstract: A power module includes a substrate having first and second surfaces and first, second, and third metal interconnects. A semiconductor die on the first surface is coupled to the first metal interconnect. An encapsulation material has third and fourth opposing surfaces. The third surface is on the second surface. Primary inductors in the encapsulation material have a first lateral segment, a first vertical segment extending between a first end of the first lateral segment and the third surface, and a second vertical segment extending from a second end of the first lateral segment to the fourth surface. Secondary inductors have a second lateral segment and third and fourth vertical segments extending from ends of the second lateral segment to the third surface. A pair of adjacent third vertical segments are coupled via the second metal interconnect. A pair of adjacent fourth vertical segments are coupled via the third metal interconnect.

  • Patent number: 12560661
Abstract: In one example, a calibration method includes receiving, from a sensor proximate a first conductor, a sensor signal representing a measurement of a magnetic field produced based on a first current flowing in the first conductor and a second current flowing in a second conductor, the first current including first and second current components having different frequencies, and the second current including third and fourth current components, the third current component phase shifted from, and having the same frequency as, the first current component and the fourth current component having a different frequency from the third current component, determining reference values of the first and second currents, and based on the sensor signal and the reference values of the first and second currents, determining for the sensor, a plurality of coupling coefficients representing magnetic field coupling between the first and second conductors.

  • Publication number: 20250047226
Abstract: An induction motor includes a plurality of flux linkage configurations that control current to drive relative movement between a rotor and a stator. Each flux configuration powers a different number of poles. A controller is configured to droop switch flux linkage configurations by ramping up torque in a new configuration h1 at the same rate as torque decay by decaying flux from a previous configuration h2. Multiple flux configurations can also be powered during steady state. A method for smoothing torque transitions receives a command to change from one of a plurality of flux configurations to another of the plurality of the flux configurations. Torque is ramped up in the another flux configuration at the same rate as decaying torque in the one of the plurality of flux configurations.
