Abstract: The invention relates to an alert and safety device (1) for an electromechanical equipment item including a single trigger device (10) comprising an event detection module, a first communication unit and a control unit; a receiver device (11) including a second communication unit able to exchange with said first communication unit and an action unit able to interrupt the operation of an electromechanical equipment item with which it is associated; following detection of an event of a first type, the control unit is arranged to transmit to the receiver device (11), an instruction to stop the equipment item and the action unit of said receiver device (11) is arranged to interrupt the operation of said electromechanical equipment item, following detection of an event of a second type by said detection module, the control unit is adapted to transmit a distress alert.
