  • Publication number: 20150088539
Abstract: A method for optimizing patient allocation includes determining, by an analysis engine executing on a computing device, for a type of procedure, a total number of procedures performed by a plurality of physicians. The analysis engine determines a percentage of the total number of procedures performed by each of the plurality of physicians. The analysis engine determines whether the determined percentage for a first physician is lower than a threshold. The analysis engine determines whether the determined percentage for a second physician is lower than the threshold. An allocation engine executing on the computing device transitions responsibility for at least one procedure performed by the first physician to the second physician, responsive to a determination that the determined percentage for the first physician is lower than the threshold and that the determined percentage for the second physician is higher than the threshold.
