  • Publication number: 20090261706
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to electrical lighting devices and systems, and more particularly to a light tube replacement for use with fluorescent light fixtures. The replacement light tube comprises a series of light emitting diodes (LEDs) and a heat sink therefore incorporated adjacent a clear or translucent cover configured for installation in a conventional fluorescent light fixture. The present LED replacement light includes suitable light directing and/or diffusing means and compatible connector pins and electrical componentry as required for installation and operation in an existing fluorescent light circuit. Alternatively, the replacement light may utilize conventional 110-115 volt alternating current or backup battery power as the electrical power source.

  • Patent number: 7172314
Abstract: A solid state light bulb for attachment to a lamp socket. The light bulb uses a number of super bright LEDs or color LEDs mounted within a hollow housing to replace a standard bulb such as a 60 Watt bulb. A stepped, reverse conical interior wall distributes and diffuses the light to project the appearance of a normal bulb. An upper lens of the housing may be removable to form a spot light effect.

  • Publication number: 20050135107
Abstract: A lamp adapter for mounting a number of LEDs between a lamp and a light bulb. A bulb socket on the adapter threads into the socket of a lamp to power a number of LEDs mounted about the periphery of the lamp socket. A positive and negative electric lead are insulated and arranged to receive LEDs mounted directly onto the leads to power the LEDs. Preferably the LEDs are mounted in a ring around the outer portion of the lamp adapter. A central portion of the lamp adapter is configured to receive a standard light bulb such as a 60 W bulb. When assembled a normal lamp has the lamp adapter or lamp ring mounted between the lamp and the light bulb to provide night lighting or decorative effect to the light without requiring a separate power source.

  • Publication number: 20050007786
Abstract: A utility light 10 is comprised of a flashlight shaped case 12 within which are the battery compartment 14, one or more solid-state illumination sources 16, electronic flashing and strobing circuit, an electrical tilt switch and an electrical switching arrangement 18. The electrical switching arrangement 18 will provide a means to control the light source, the electrical flashing circuit, the electrical strobe light circuit, and the tilt switch circuit. The device replaces a standard fluorescent light source for durability and other efficiencies.
