  • Patent number: 10573773
Abstract: Backsheet for photovoltaic panels with conductive interface elements intended to simplify the electrical connection of the terminal points of the circuit to the back junction box. The conductive elements are of the non-through type through the backsheet, with double contacting face, and are integrated on the front side towards the cells within recessed seats and in correspondence of through-holes in such a way as to enable an electrical connection by contact from the back side through the holes, in a guided way, by means of respective conductive elements protruding and fastened to the junction box. In particular, such a simplified contacting solution can be realized with extreme precision, without manual operations and at extremely low costs, with an automated assembly method.

  • Patent number: 10164132
Abstract: Composite operating station and method of drilling and fixing for the continuous production of conductive backsheets with an integrated encapsulating and dielectric layer, for photovoltaic panels of the back-contact type. The composite operating station is automated and integrates a plurality of working processes carried out simultaneously in a cyclic sequence. In particular, it is based on a multifunction cylindrical roller which by rotating lays out the film of integrated encapsulating and dielectric material, heats it and presses it on the conductive layer of the supporting backsheet for the purpose of the fixing in a correct position, the roller being provided with openings to enable drilling from outside with a laser device and also to enable the forced suction from inside of the fumes and of the residues by means of an exhaust fan.

  • Patent number: 10103283
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a back-contact back-sheet for a photovoltaic module comprising back-contact cells. The method comprising providing a substrate (210) having an outer surface (210os) facing the air-side of the photovoltaic module and an inner surface (210is) opposite the outer surface (210os) and facing the inside of the photovoltaic module. A layer of electrically conductive material (220) adapted to be formed as a connecting circuit (220c) to the electrodes of the solar cells is then applied to the substrate (210). The application of the layer of electrically conductive material (220) to the substrate (210) is performed in such a way that the layer of electrically conductive material (220) fixedly adheres to the inner surface (210is) of the substrate (210). The layer of electrically conductive material (220) is then processed so as to form the connecting circuit (220c).

  • Patent number: 9711677
Abstract: Automatic assembly method of a photovoltaic panel with cells of the back-contact type provided with a conductive backsheet with a thermoplastic encapsulating layer; the loading of the cells occurs in combination with their pre-fixing in a combined station sequentially placed before the superimposition of the upper encapsulating layer and after the laying of the conductive adhesive. The loading is carried out with a first device of the automatic mechanical hand type which takes a group of cells, aligns them with the back contacts in correspondence of the holes and lays them vertically from above. Furthermore, a second device of the presser-heater type carries out the pre-fixing of the cells holding them in the final position also with localized heating on at least one portion of each cell in such a way as to activate the adhesive function of the underlying thermoplastic encapsulating layer. A combined loading and pre-fixing station is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9337370
Abstract: Apparatus and method for the automatic assembly of photovoltaic panels with back-contact architecture, the apparatus comprising a series of six stations that are configured in sequence in a carousel with recirculation of trays and a control device, which is adjacent to one or more of the stations, for controlling the correctness of the processes performed, the control device enabling the processing or the mere transit of the tray into the subsequent station by comparing the actual state with a predefined state. If one or more of the controls performed in the transfers between the six stations yields a negative outcome regarding the correctness of the operation performed previously, the control device enables the mere transit of the tray with its content to the subsequent stations until it reaches the first station without undergoing any tipping.
