Abstract: A system and method for displaying items for bid at a silent auction including, a display device, having at least one display face, for exhibiting a panel having advertising indicia relating to an item offered for bid at the silent auction, and a code on the panel that corresponds to the item offered for bid, such that the code may be entered by a bidder at a remote location relative to the display device for bidding on the item. The system further including a support member for suspending the display device at a first distance from the support member, and at a second distance from a flooring surface of a venue at which the silent auction is being held; and means for removably and rotatably suspending the display device from the support member.
