Abstract: A method of production of disposable diaper pants or disposable sanitary panty with openable and resealable side panels. A row of absorption bodies is applied on a continuous web of inner or outer cover sheet material, after which a continuous web of outer or inner cover sheet material is applied and secured to the web with absorption bodies at parts lying outside the absorption bodies to form a web of diaper pants blanks. First side panels having two parts connected by a detachable and resealable connection are secured to the diaper pants blanks at a side of a front or rear portion. Second separate side panels are secured to the side portions of the front or rear portions of the diaper pants blanks which to not have side panels. Individual diaper pants blanks with side panels are cut out, folded along a transverse axis in the crotch, and secured.

Abstract: An absorbent article such as a diaper, pant diaper, a sanitary pant or incontinence garment has at least one first elastic web material which is ultrasonically welded to at least one second web material along at least one weld seam. The second web material is different to the first elastic web material and said second web material has a degree of elasticity which is different to the elasticity of the first elastic web material. The ultrasonic weld seam between the first elastic web material and the second web material is reinforced to have a weld strength in a direction transverse to the weld seam which is at least 5 N/25.4 mm. The disclosure particularly relates to pant-type absorbent articles.

Abstract: A pant type absorbent article such as a pant diaper, a sanitary pant or incontinence pant, the article having a core region including an absorbent core and a chassis region surrounding the core region. The article, at least in part of the chassis region, has a outer coversheet in the form of an elastic laminate having puncture resistance of at least 15N, wherein the laminate includes first and second layers of fibrous material and an elastic film layer located between the first and second fibrous layers and in which at least one of the layers of fibrous material has an elongation at maximum load greater than the elasticity of the elastic laminate.

Abstract: The invention relates to a material structure for use in absorbent articles, and an absorbent article comprising such a material structure. The material structure (1) comprises a liquid-pervious cover layer (2), a liquid-impervious cover layer (3), and an absorbent structure (4, 4?) enclosed between the cover layers (2, 3). Thereby, the absorbent structure (4, 4?) comprises polylactide fibres or filaments, the properties of which contributing to a rapid acquisition of liquid through the liquid-pervious cover layer (2) for absorption into the absorbent structure (4, 4?) also when the material structure (1) is subjected to repeated wettings. The invention can advantageously be applied within the field of absorbent hygiene articles, such as different types of diapers and incontinence guards, sanitary napkins, pantyliners, and the like.

Abstract: An absorbent article, such as a diaper, a pants-type diaper, an incontinence protector or a pants-like sanitary napkin, having a front part, a rear part and an intermediate central part. The article includes an absorbent body enclosed between an inner, liquid-permeable sheet and a liquid-impermeable outer sheet, and fastener devices for releasably connecting side-portions of the front and rear parts. The fastener devices are made of a renewable material. The fastener devices are welded to at least one of the sheets of the article and the fastener devices and the sheets are made of a material having a glass transition temperature which lies between 50-60° C. and a melting point which lies between 140-180° C., preferably between 150-175° C.
