    Abstract: Apparatus and methods for polymeric security seal parts having anti-microbial properties and for the production of such seal parts, are provided. The seal parts may be produced by molding a formulation that includes a polymeric base resin and also a quantity of microbicidal metal ion. The molding may be injection molding. The formulation may contain sufficient metal ion for molded seals to have microbicidal exterior surfaces, without compromising moldability of the formulation. The formulation may contain sufficient metal ion for molded seals to have microbicidal properties throughout the interior of their structures, without compromising the moldability of the formulation. The anti-microbial polymeric security seal parts may be marked with function-descriptive and/or identifying surface markings. The identifying surface markings may be unique to individual seal parts. The anti-microbial polymeric security seal parts may facilitate secure tamper-evident anti-microbial sealing of enclosures.

    Abstract: A tamper evident seal includes an elongated strap having a first end proportioned to engage a locking barrel provided on the second of the elongated strap. The elongated strap includes an array of bumps having flat tops to provide an effective grip for a user. A ramp is provided close to the first end of the elongated strap. When the first end of the elongated strap is inserted low the locking barrel, the ramp covers the end of the locking barrel preventing access to the locking feature which is disposed in the locking barrel.

    Abstract: A mold for the manufacture of plastic objects has a plurality of cavities which are formed by clamping together a plurality of individual insert straps. The insert straps each have a shape corresponding to a portion of the desired cavity and the insert straps in combination form the desired cavity The insert straps may be rearranged and straps may be added or withdrawn to provide cavities of different lengths and configurations. The mold also has a sub-ejector assembly which may be positioned to accommodate changes in the size of the individual cavities formed by the combination of insert straps The method for making a mold includes the steps of forming a mold cavity using a plurality of insert straps and then clamping the individual insert straps together.
