Publication number: 20230401687Abstract: The invention advances the ratio method of phosphor thermography using two machine vision cameras for full-field temperature measurements of a solid surface. As an example, algorithms from digital image correlation (DIC) can be used to determine the stereoscopic imaging system intrinsic and extrinsic parameters, and accurately register material points on the sample to subpixel locations in each image with 0.07 px or better accuracy. A phosphor calibration sample fabricated using aerosol deposition can be used for in situ determination of the temperature-versus-intensity ratio relationship. The full calibration methodology and several improvements on two-color phosphor thermography open the door for full-field temperature measurements in dynamic tests with deforming test specimens.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2022Publication date: December 14, 2023Inventors: Caroline Winters, Kathryn N. Patent number: 9848293Abstract: A method of and apparatus for defining a zone, comprising receiving (S3) location data indicative of the location of a device 2 at a plurality of times, determining (S14), based on the location data, information relating to the occupancy of the device in a plurality of geographical regions, and defining (S15), based on the information, at least one zone. The or each zone consists of multiple contiguous regions of the geographical regions in which the occupancy of the device meets at least one criterion. Each of the plurality of predetermined geographical regions is defined independently of location areas over which base stations transmit and receive.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2012Date of Patent: December 19, 2017Assignee: BUDDI LIMITEDInventors: Sara Elizabeth Murray, Jose Antonio Sanchez-Valenzuela, Gareth John Carter

Patent number: 9110793Abstract: Methods, systems, and products for computer processing. In one general embodiment, the method comprises running an inner process in the context of an executing thread wherein the thread has an original address space in memory and hiding at least a portion of the memory from the inner process. The inner process may run on the same credentials as the thread. Running the inner process may include creating a new address space for the inner process in the memory and assigning the new address space to the thread, so that the inner process comprises its own address space. The inner process may he allowed to access only the new address space. The kernel may maintain the thread's original address space along with the new address space, so that multiple address spaces exist for a particular thread. The kernel may pass selected data from the thread to the inner process.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2009Date of Patent: August 18, 2015Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Marco Escandell Cabrera, Elizabeth Murray
