  • Publication number: 20240086856
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method are provided for adaptively controlling communication activity of a communication system. The method stores user information comprising contact preferences, a goal, and account information. The system may receive external information by a trigger engine which applies a trigger rule to determine a degree of relatedness between the goal and at least one of external information and the account information. When the degree of relatedness exceeds a threshold, then the contact preferences may be used to format a communication related to the external information based on the contact preferences. The system may then send the communication to the user by the communication entity according to the contact preferences, and, based on a feedback or lack of feedback from the user related to the communication, adjust at least one of the contact preferences, the trigger rule, or a weighting factor of the trigger rule.

  • Patent number: 8712815
Abstract: Techniques for dynamically representing distributed information are disclosed. According to one embodiment, metrics for deployed resources in a predefined environment (e.g., an enterprise) is designed. The metrics includes at least various logic and data sources and is deployed as one or more Metrics Definition Packages (MDP), wherein data sources are used for calculating such metrics. The metrics is defined in terms of the data sources and their associated meta-data, but has no dependency upon specific external systems that are eventually used to populate the data sources when the Metrics Definition Package is executed. The metrics results from the execution of the Metrics Definition Package in accordance with the deployed resources (e.g., storage space, and security means) are represented in what is referred to as a Scorecard Definition Package (SDP) that is designed to represent the metrics results in a dynamic and comprehensible manner.

  • Publication number: 20060031268
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed toward extending a federation of servers and balancing the data load of said federation of servers, in order to improve accessibility and scope of the system by moving the first backup data structure on the second server to the new server, creating a second data structure on the new server, and creating a second backup data structure for the second data structure on the second server. To balance the load, certain embodiments employ a method comprising suspending writes to the selected logical partitions, copying selected logical partitions to the new physical partition, redirecting reads and writes to the logical partitions in the new physical partition, and removing the original selected logical partitions.
