Abstract: A sealable container for preservation of a biological sample is provided. The container includes a cap comprising a proximal open and a lumen and an elongate body that extends from a handle portion to a specimen portion. A closure portion is disposed between the handle portion and the specimen portion, wherein the closure portion is configured to make surface to surface contact with the cap when the specimen portion is fully inserted within the lumen. The closure portion comprises an outer diameter that gradually decreases in a direction from the handle portion to the specimen portion. The specimen portion comprises a scooped portion where a distance between the upper surface and the lower surface is less than distances between the upper surface and the lower surface along remaining portions of the specimen portion, wherein the scooped portion is spaced proximally from a distal tip of the specimen portion.

Abstract: A bio-composite material comprises protein-containing non-wood fibrous biomass comprising at least 6 wt % protein, and a cross-linking agent. The bio-composite material may optionally further contain wood biomass, or non-protein-containing non-wood biomass, and is formable into a bio-composite board to replace wood-based boards for a variety of applications. A bioplastic material comprises a bioadhesive, fibrous biomass and a plastic material, and is formable into a variety of products, such as a cup, using conventional plastic processing techniques. Suitable fibrous biomass may include used coffee grounds and a variety of other biomass. A method of forming a board from a bio-composite material, and a method of manufacturing a bioplastic are also provided.

The keyboard may be configured to communicate with the portable computing device. The frame may surround the keyboard. The shaft may be rotationally attached to the frame. The rotational attachment of the shaft to the frame may have a friction greater than a force of gravity on the portable computing device. The mount may be configured to hold the portable computing device. The mount may define a shaft recess through which the shaft extends and in which the shaft freely rotates. The shaft engagement element may be configured to rotationally couple the mount to the shaft in response to the portable computing device being placed on the mount.
