Patent number: 11971384Abstract: Electrophoresis is used to identify presence of a target compound in a patient sample based on a charge state of the compound and a label. The charge state of the compound correlates to a total net charge of a binder conjugated to the compound. The bound complex or “bound complex” with the label is then applied to the electrophoresis substrate. An electric potential is applied to the substrate for a time period and causes the labeled bound complex to migrate toward the electrode with opposite charge of the labeled bound complex at a migration velocity to form a migration pattern over the time period. At some time during or at the end of the time period, the labeled bound complex produces a bound complex band as a result of its migration across the substrate. The presence of the compound is identified based on the labeled bound complex band and one or both of the migration pattern and the migration velocity.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2021Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Hemex Health, Inc.Inventors: Peter Galen, Ariane Elizabeth Erickson, David Richard Bell, Matthew Christian Lind, Tyler Witte, Umut Atakan Gurkan

Publication number: 20240125028Abstract: Indigo-dyed garments are treated with an anti-ozone agent to prevent ozone-related degradation of the garments before laser finishing. Without treatment, the garments can exhibit color loss (e.g., color change or fading) from exposure to ozone in the atmosphere. The indigo-dyed garments with anti-ozone treatment can serve as base templates in a laser finishing process flow. The anti-ozone treatment of the base templates can include a rinse including an ascorbic acid or vitamin C constituent during a base preparation process. Then quantities of these base templates can manufactured and stored for periods of time without exhibiting ozone-related degradation effects.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 18, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Inventors: James Barton Sights, David Love, Elizabeth O'Neill, Benjamin Bell, Jennifer Schultz, Christopher Schultz, Debdulal Mahanty, Sachith Devendra Samarasinghe, Chatura Atukorala, Jeff Zens

Publication number: 20060236946Abstract: The present invention relates to a pet bed that includes a heating layer which is formed of an enclosure and a heating composition sealed inside the enclosure. The enclosure includes a gas-permeable section such that the heating composition generates heat when a gas is received through the gas-permeable section. The pet bed further includes (i) a liner attached to the heating layer to engage a pet as the pet lies on the pet bed; (ii) a conforming layer attached to the heating layer such that the conforming layer conforms to the shape of the pet as the pet lies on the pet bed; and/or (iii) a backing layer attached to the heating layer such that the backing layer restricts movement of the pet bed. The enclosure may further include a cover over the gas-permeable section such that the heating composition generates heat when the cover is removed from the enclosure.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2006Publication date: October 26, 2006Inventors: Wendy Behnke, Elizabeth Bell, Jim Cotter, Daniel Heuer, Bruce Siebers
