Abstract: Provided herein, in various embodiments, are methods of diagnosing a subject as having, or having a propensity to develop, a fragile X-associated disorder (e.g., FXS), methods of prognosing a fragile X-associated disorder (e.g., FXS) in a subject, methods of predicting a treatment outcome of a fragile X-associated disorder (e.g., FXS) in a subject, methods of stratifying a set of subjects having a fragile X-associated disorder, methods of stratifying a population of subjects having, or having a propensity to develop, FXS, and method for assessing the efficacy of a drug for treatment of FXS. Also provided herein, in various embodiments, are assays and systems useful for performing the disclosed methods. The present disclosure also provides methods of treating a subject having FXS.

Abstract: Disclosed is a bolus for oral administration to an animal, the bolus comprising at least one beneficial substance to be delivered to the animal, the bolus comprising two components which are adhered together by a water-soluble adhesive or sealant, such that the two components are separable in vivo, and wherein at least one of the aforesaid components is frangible in vivo, the frangible component being initially stabilised by the adherence thereto of the other of the aforesaid components, such that separation of the two components in vivo facilitates the breakage of the frangible component.

Abstract: A method of creating a lighting effect using a reflective and semi-transparent foil suitable for use in creating a Pepper's Ghost image, the method comprising: i) modifying the foil such that the foil is distorted to cause light beams to separate into beams of different colours through transmition and reflection of the light beam in at least one sheet of foil; and ii) illuminating the distorted at least one sheet of foil to create a lighting effect.

Abstract: The present invention provides assays and kits for diagnosing idiopathic congenital central hypoventilation syndrome. The present assays and kits focus on the second polyalanine repeat of the PHOX2b gene or gene product, which is normally 20 residues in length. A polyalanine repeat 25 to 33 residues in length is strongly correlated with idiopathic congenital central hypoventilation syndrome.
