  • Publication number: 20220230763
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing an interactive guideline are provided. In one example, a method comprises: receiving, from a database, data of a directed graph representing a medical guideline, the medical guideline including a decision tree including a plurality of clinical decisions and preconditions leading to at least some of the clinical decisions, the directed graph including a plurality of nodes representing the clinical decisions and the preconditions and edges connecting the plurality of nodes to represent dependency relationships among the clinical decisions and the preconditions; providing, via a navigation interface, a graphical representation of at least part of the directed graph; receiving, via the navigation interface, a selection of a node of the directed graph from the graphical representation; and based on the selection of the node, updating the graphical representation of the at least part of the directed graph to provide a navigation result of the medical guideline.

  • Patent number: 10388014
Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing vessels in multiplexed images include detecting large vessels using a spoke feature detection method, detecting long and narrow vessels using a line feature detection method, detecting smaller vessels using rolling-ball filtering and binary image operations to generate a mask, and evaluating any contour polygons resulting from these operations using quality measurements and other thresholds. Maturity determination and nuclei detection are also performed, resulting in an output of vessel characteristics and co-locations enabling enhanced analysis of multispectral images.

  • Patent number: 9828319
Abstract: A process for the acid-catalyzed dehydration of ethanol, the process comprising the steps of distilling an ethanol feedstock (101) comprising at least one nitrogen-containing contaminant to form an overhead stream (102) and a bottom stream comprising ethanol (103), wherein the distillation has a reflux ratio of at least 20:1; and reacting the bottom stream in the presence of an acid catalyst to form a product stream comprising ethylene.

  • Publication number: 20160131583
Abstract: An imaging system (100) is capable of detecting of tissue situated on a microscope slide (180). The imaging system (100) includes a light source (150), an image capturing device (160) including a camera, and an imaging lens (170). The light source (150) directs light (154) towards one or more of the edges of the slide (180) such that the light (154) undergoes total internal reflection between a surface of the slide (180) and a coverslip (182) carried by the slide (180). The light (154) has a wavelength or waveband designed to stimulate one or more specimens carried on the slide (180). The imaging lens (170) is positioned to direct radiation emitted from the tissue and/or fluorophore onto the camera. The image capturing device (160) can capture an image of the whole slide (180) or a portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 6827042
Abstract: A device to prevent incursion of wild elephants into human populated areas, and thereby protect the lives of both wild elephants and humans living in close proximity to elephant refuges, is disclosed. The device incorporates a series of rollers that discourage an elephant from crossing the device. Multiple units may be linked together to form a barrier of any desired length. The border on the frame of each unit is protected by a guard that pinches the foot of an elephant attempting to cross over on the butted edges where two units meet. Alterative embodiments of the device may include roller protrusions, a chemical repellent dispersant, and an electrified conductor wire.
