Abstract: A life rescue evacuation unit is provided to effect recovery of persons or property imperiled by fires, earthquakes and other emergencies. One embodiment comprises a portable apparatus to be employed at a location remote from the danger. A rescue chute is projected over to the trapped people whereby they may slide to safety. Another embodiment provides for the rescue chute to be associated with the imperiled structure. The chute is projected to a safe, remote area to allow people to slide down the chute and out of danger.
