  • Patent number: 8954165
Abstract: The present technology is directed generally to a lead anchor for positioning and securing spinal cord modulation leads and associated systems and methods. In at least some contexts, the lead anchor includes a central lumen surrounded by a restriction feature. The restriction feature can interface with a tightening screw or other actuator and can be configured to provide a radial compressive fit around the lead body. In some embodiments, the clamp can be disengaged upon twisting or other unlocking motion to release the lead.

  • Publication number: 20130066331
Abstract: The present technology is directed generally to tapered, curved stylets for inserting spinal cord modulation leads, and associated systems and methods. In some embodiments, the stylet includes a handle and a shaft the shaft having a proximal portion adjacent to the handle, a distal portion adjacent to the proximal portion, and a rounded tip. The proximal portion can be elongated along a longitudinal axis and can have a generally constant diameter. The distal portion can have a tapered section with a diameter that decreases in a distal direction, and a pre-set curve with respect to the longitudinal axis. The rounded tip can have a diameter greater than or equal to the smallest diameter of the distal portion.

  • Patent number: 8124058
Abstract: The invention comprises a polymerizable monomer composition for application to the nail surface and polymerization thereon to yield an artificial nail structure, comprising at least one multicarbonyl-vinyl containing monomer; a polymerized artificial nail structure having a thickness of about 10-60 mils, and a modulus of elasticity of about 550-800 N/m2, comprising a copolymer of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a multicarbonyl vinyl-containing monomer; a method for reducing, ameliorating, or eliminating delamination of an artificial nail structure from the natural nail surface; a method for improving adhesion of an artificial nail structure to the nail surface; and a method for reducing premature gelation of a liquid monomer composition.
