  • Publication number: 20110043727
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an optical article including a multilayer optical film, a light transmissive support layer, and an adhesive layer disposed between the multilayer optical film and the light transmissive support layer. The adhesive layer includes an aromatic polyester (meth)acrylate oligomer and an aromatic ethylenically unsaturated monomer, wherein the total amount of the aromatic polyester (meth)acrylate oligomer and the aromatic ethylenically unsaturated monomer is at least about 90 wt. % of the adhesive layer. Also disclosed herein is a method of making the optical article and display devices including the optical article.

  • Publication number: 20100068249
Abstract: The present invention comprises a transdermal dosage form comprising an active agent component having a skin contacting surface, an adverse agent component, and a barrier. The dosage form comprises at least one channel passing between proximal and distal surfaces of the active agent component. The barrier is interposed between the active agent component and the adverse agent component. In one aspect, the barrier is permeable to selected solvents and impermeable to diffusion of active and adverse agents in the absence of said solvent. In another aspect, the barrier is discontinuous, impermeable to diffusion of active and adverse agents, and the dosage form comprises at least one channel passing between the skin-contacting surface and the adverse agent component.

  • Publication number: 20080152837
Abstract: A norbornene-based cyclic olefin layer with a curable layer disposed thereon is described. The curable layer may additionally be imparted with a texture. The norbornene-based cyclic olefin films with curable layers can be incorporated into optical bodies which include an optical film, such as an oriented multilayer optical film. In addition, the invention includes a method of coating a curable layer onto a norbornene-based polymer layer or film without requiring a primer layer. Methods of making the norbornene-based cyclic olefin layer containing films are also disclosed.
