  • Publication number: 20140289220
Abstract: A method for providing recommendations to a user based on user activity, where the user activity data encompasses health and medical data for the user. The activity data including the health and medical data is recorded on a transportable recordable medium (TRM) that can be a component of any type of user device. The activity data is transferred by the user device to a profiler across a network, where the profiler stores a user controlled profile that includes the activity data sent by the user device. The activity data is processed to identify a plurality of user patterns. Health related suggestions specific to the user based on the user patterns are then created for and provided to the user by the profiler. The health related suggestions are received by the user device from the profiler and made accessible to the user.

  • Publication number: 20130218713
Abstract: A method for providing recommendations to a user based on user activity. A plurality of activity data tracking a plurality of activities of a user is obtained. The activity data may be obtained over a wide area network such as the internet or downloaded from a data card which stores activity data whenever the user participates in an activity. The activity data is either stored on the data card or transmitted over the network whenever the user uses a card when participating in any activity such as when making a purchase of goods, paying for services, watching television, etc. The activity data is processed to identify a plurality of user patterns. The user patterns are used to form a user profile and may include user habit data. Recommendations specific to the user based on the user patterns are then created for and provided to the user. The recommendations are provided to a user when the user logs onto a computer network such as the internet.

  • Patent number: 7194698
Abstract: A method and system to facilitate navigation of a wide-area network. A navigation matrix is displayed on a client node. The matrix pairs each navigation option with an input such that, for example, pressing a single key activates that navigation option. The key press event is forwarded to an information and services hub across the network. The hub then returns a next appropriate matrix layer which may be navigated in the same manner.
