In some embodiments, on-demand third party asset rental platform includes a self-service platform that enables a third-party renter to electronically submit a conditional rental offer (CRO) for an asset to a plurality of third-party owners of that asset. In some embodiments, on-demand third party asset rental platform includes receiving a request for an asset (e.g., a vehicle or another type of asset) rental; and in response to the request for an asset rental, communicating a plurality of conditional rental offers to a plurality of asset owners, wherein each of the asset owners specifies the asset owner's rental terms.
