Patent number: 12091850Abstract: Systems and methods for deployment, storage, transport of expandable room dividers. The systems may include a frame configured to lock room divider panels compactly stacked against each other for storage and transport. The frame may retain a non-releasable panel and maintain it vertically upright. That panel may be hinged along a non-retained vertical edge to a closest of a plurality of panels movable with respect to the non-releasable panel. The plurality's panels are serially hinged together, accordion-like, along vertical edges. Hinge angles between adjacent stacked panels are approximately zero degrees. Movable panels are sequentially moved from the frame by user-control opening a locking mechanism. Hinge angles between adjacent panels of the plurality of moved panels, and between the non-releasable panel and its adjacent movable panel, are increased to expand the room divider. The locking mechanism gates return of panels to, and when unopened blocks their movement from, the non-releasable panel.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2021Date of Patent: September 17, 2024Assignee: NPS Public Furniture Corp.Inventors: Elliot Levy, Alexander Crudo

Patent number: 11974662Abstract: An apparatus for mounting a table leg to a tabletop is provided. The apparatus may include a base. The apparatus may include a bracket. The apparatus may include a first support. The apparatus may include a second support. The base may be mounted to the tabletop via first holes defined in the base. The table leg may be mounted to the bracket. The bracket may include a U-shaped channel. The bracket may include a first wing. The bracket may include a second wing. The U-shaped channel may define a second hole to receive a bolt included in the table leg. The first wing may extend from an end of the U-shaped channel. The second wing may extend from an opposite end of the U-shaped channel. The wings may include third holes to receive screws to be mounted into the table leg. The supports may connect the base to the bracket.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2024Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: NPS Public Furniture Corp.Inventors: Alexander Crudo, Yehuda Freundlich, Elliot Levy

Patent number: 11470958Abstract: A folding table with increased seating space is provided. The table may include a tabletop and a plurality of legs affixed to an underside of the tabletop. The legs may be configured to be movable, bi-directionally, between an unfolded position and a folded position. The folding table may include two or more folding mechanisms for moving the legs between the unfolded position and the folded position. The folding table may include a plurality of bump brackets affixed to the underside of the tabletop. Each bump bracket may correspond to one of the plurality of legs. When the legs are in the unfolded position, each bump bracket may be configured to engage the corresponding leg and provide structural support for the corresponding leg.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2021Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: NPS Public Furniture Corp.Inventors: Elliot Levy, Charles P. Kiesow

Patent number: 11297939Abstract: Methods for producing a folding table with increased seating space are provided. A method may include affixing a plurality of legs to an underside of a tabletop, and configuring the legs to be movable, bi-directionally, between an unfolded position and a folded position via multiple folding mechanisms. Installing each of the folding mechanisms may include affixing a central support bar to the underside of the tabletop via a hinged bracket, and securing a central portion of a transverse support bar assembly against the central support bar such that the central portion is configured to slide along the central support bar. A method may also include attaching one end of a first side support bar to the central portion, and another end to one of the legs, and attaching one end a second side support bar to the central portion, and another end to another one of the legs.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2020Date of Patent: April 12, 2022Assignee: NPS Public Furniture Corp.Inventors: Elliot Levy, Charles P.
