  • Publication number: 20070284123
Abstract: The present invention is a hand held tool for brush and weed removal. It is a long or short handled weed extraction implement having combined features that facilitate easy and efficient weeding of all varieties of short and tall brush, bushes, bamboo, and the like. Further, the present invention is ideal for gathering the brush, weeds, and other debris, without changing tools. The invention is also adapted to loosening and leveling of the soil, again without changing tools. Unlike all other hand held weeding tools, the invention has a file for sharpening the tines and blade elements from time to time during the day while the tool is in the field. The file is mounted axially in the handle for convenience and to protect the file from rusting. The skill normally required for free-hand sharpening of blades is greatly reduced by the unique interfit of the file and elliptical shaped cutting edges. The invention also tends to induce better, safer, more ergonomic work habits among those who use the invention.

  • Patent number: 6913116
Abstract: The present invention provides a roll-edge stamped metal drip tray with a wire retaining bar hinged at one end and secured at another end by a locking slot. The wire retaining bar holds an absorbent material in the drip pan. The wire retaining bar may be provided at a distance away from the edge of the drip pan to as to prevent the absorbent material from blowing out of the pan. The wire retaining bar may be released from its locking slot an one end, and the bar hinged upwards to a substantially vertical position, where the wire retaining bar is prevented from falling backwards by bends in the retaining bar hinge portion. Once an absorbent material is inserted into the pan, the wire retaining bar may be lowered into position and locked into place using one or more locking slots which accept a suitably formed wire portion.

  • Patent number: 6442889
Abstract: The present invention solves the problems of the prior art by providing a holder to arrange a plurality of roach traps in parallel to form a barrier to the path of the roaches. Roach migration patterns may be readily observed or predicted. Typical pathways include under doorways, near pipe entries, and near sources of water. Placed in the path of the roaches, the plurality of roach traps force a roach to traverse through one of the traps, where it is ensnared. The trap holder may be provided with a attachment point so that multiple holders may be arranged in series to form larger barriers. Individual roach traps, either of the prior art design, or of a specialized design disclosed herein, may be used with the roach trap holder. As individual traps are filled, they may be removed one at a time without having to replace the entire traps and trap holder combination.
